Default S&W Belt Buckle Identification.

I saw a buckle at the OGCA display show that I really liked. I have had my eye out for one ever since. The buckle below was on Ebay last week. It is similar to the one I saw at OGCA except it was silver plated with a gold border. That is what I would like to find.

Was this a factory buckle?

The one you are looking for is the Silver & Gold Electroplate buckle made by Saddleworth Silversmiths. It was listed in the 1999 S&W Apparel-Accessories-Collectibles catalog as item 150342 at $129.95 each. The one you have pictured is the bronze version that was priced at $69.95

Thanks KO, exactly what I was looking for. I would love to just find a picture of one at this point. Hard to place a WTB ad without one.

Thanks to KO, I was able to find pictures of the buckle I am looking for:

Note the horses head and horse shoes in gold on the back. Nice attention to detail.

Anyone have one they would like to sell?

I'm the person that had the display at the OCGA display show in 2009 of the Smith & Wesson Performance Center firearms and had the belt buckles also. I got both of them at the Smith & Wesson 2006 IDPA Winter Championship at there Shooting Sport Center.

Sincerely,
THE ROLLING STONES

THE ROLLING STONES, I am glad you found this thread, I was thinking you might. I seem to recall that you had two of these, and I don't remember the differences. Do you have a picture of the other buckle? Do you know how many were in the series?

Thanks,

It looks like there were 3 buckles, the unplated bronze(K), the silver and gold plate(J) in the same design as the unplated bronze and the silver and gold plate with eagle (N).

I just picked up these two at a yard sale today.
They were shoved in a bag with a bunch of other buckles in a workshop.
They seem to be in great shape for the care they received.
Are these brass, pewter or other?

I must have one of those "real" S&W buckles for IDPA.. My present S&W buckle is a fifty cent pot metal p.o.s compared to those pictured, it actually is detracts from the Bianchi belt it is used on.

Thanks for the pictures gents, greatly appreciate the eye opener
