i have all of the s&w knifes made by mr. collins, also have both display cases as well. what i don't have is the engraved ones, from what i have learned about these they can bring alot of money. they could go for around $500 to $800 for each or $2500 to $3000 for the set.

most people wont buy them unless they can get a deal, the market on these is very small. i'm interested but at the right price.....

gjamison,
i looked them over yesterday..they are the same numbered set.in the wood box. supica talks about them in his book.
the numbered set was rare, according to him.
the gentleman does want to move them, so now i have to find the right person as you said.
they have been immaculately cared for
they look the same as the day they were made..i guess maybe posting them here would be a start

I have a set of these also, and they are stunning. I was thinking about selling them to fund another gun purchase but have held off because of the poor economy. It would be interesting to see if they will bring my original purchase price.

I recommend posting them on this very forum's classified section. Pictures are a must. If they do not sell after a few days just lower the price until it does. Those on the forum seem to be a good bunch and this is MUCH easier than an auction site ...and free to boot.

I bought a complete set of the engraved series a number of years ago.
The dealer was asking $1000.00 I got them for $750.00.
I sold them in 2004 for $2000.00 and a 3 1/2" pre 27.
I feel a set as you describe would bring $3000.00 to $4000.00.
