Default S&W California Issue Knife

I have a 1 7/8 inch bladed California Issue automatic knife I have had for quite a while. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get parts for it. I need a new release button for it.

Welcome to the Forum. Try Taylor Cutlery. The are the licensee for S&W knives and were the original producers of your knife. The "California Issue" is kind of a misnomer, as automatic knives are illegal in Calif. ! I'm not sure how old your knife is and I can't find it in any of the S&W authorized knife catalogs, so it may be one of the 1,000s of knife designs submitted to S&W by Taylor for approval and selection for production, that were not selected by S&W. Many of these "prototype" knives were less than quality made, as they were basically just design efforts and if they were selected then the production runs received much better quality control. I know a S&W knife collector who for years had Taylor ship him a couple of every knife they made, until the knives really started to pile up and it dawned on him that 99% of the shipments were knives that all said S&W, but were never selected for production, so were not really S&W knives ! Ed.
