Older Smith and Wesson Flannel Table Banner
Found this at the Tulsa arms show this past weekend. Some of the elder SWCA members had seen these before. They thought it was in remarkable shape.
I was hoping one of our fine fellows could date this for me.
Club Gun Don? Do you have like five of these
If not, I'll let you look at it in Spokane in 2015.
I draped it across the king sized bed in the hotel room to take the pictures.
The tag on it says it's made by Abbot Flag, New York.
Enjoy.

Dave.
Sorry to disappoint you, I only have four. They are all made by different vendors. They are all hanging in a storage closet. I have one that is in two pieces. The letters are reversed, White outline with blue center.
I'll take pictures when I find time.

Dave added information. My guess is yours was made in the late 60's early 70's. I have two I just picked up last year, they are newer and are 12 feet each. One is in it's original cardboard box. They cover two 6' tables beautifully.

Why is the wording and logo off center? Were these made to drape over the front of display tables, with the logo hanging down the front?

Thanks Boss
I knew it was thirty years old. The machine stitching of the letters and logo are a dead give away.
Thank you for your reply, Don.
This is a six foot table banner, so yes, it is aligned as such.

Great find in great shape too.
I have been watching ebay for one of these for at least 12 months.
I get the feeling that if I did get one I should not be using it at gun shows.
Are these quite hard to find?
With Mother’s day around the corner, I could tell the missus it’s a throw rug for the bed. Winter coming on, looks good, works for me.

Dave These are two of the older ones I have. The size of the two piece is 6' x 4' each half. The single one is 8' x 5'.

Those aren't table covers, they are wool winter dumpster covers. S&W used them to cover the dumpsters in the winter so when Don was inside he wouldn't get cold.

They are all VERY nice. If there are others of this quality that need to find a place of honor or a good home, please contact me. Thank you.
