Typo etched on "first millinium run" pocket knife
Years ago I got a pocket knife as a gift. On it's blade is etched "first millinium run" on it. Two options are somebodies customizing or a typo. Anybody ever seen this?
Thanks guy,
Bryant

I have a similar knife. Mine has a wolf on it, though. And it has "Smith & Wesson" in big letters etched on the blade and "First Production Run U.S.A." under that.
No idea where these knives were made, or who made them.

Most of these knives are Taylor Cutlery knives, made under license from S&W. Mostly made in China. There are 1,000s of this knives out there, mostly on Ebay, flea markets, etc. Many are overruns from production, or models that are submitted to S&W for selection as S&W authorized knives, but did to pass muster, so were dumped to the second hand markets. Various sayings are laser etched on the blades. Prices are usually minimal. A few of the scrimshaw type knives were made in Texas and are of a slightly higher quality. Ed.
