Why not contact the "Police Marksman Assoc" and see how many they ordered, as the knife is obviously a special order from Taylor Cutlery Co. , or ask Taylor how may they made. Ed.

I would say from the 4 digit serial number, probably a bunch.
It looks like a standard production knife with the blade etched.
You do have one of the IMO really good Blackie Collins designed US Made Smith Knives.
