You have two choices. (1)Assuming it's a watch that S&W authorized a licensee to sell, and it's included in one or more of the past S&W catalogs of accessories, it should be easy to identify, or (2) it's a watch a licensee, or others, made to see if S&W would select it as a factory authorized watch, but it was not selected by the factory, then any identification possibilities are remote. If you can post pictures of the watch, we can check them against the S&W watch catalogs. Either way, I'm sure your son enjoyed the present from Dad! Ed.

It's in a mini s&w wooden box with s&w on the lid like the handgun wooden box. Never seen another one like it.

I wonder if it looks like the one I bought this year.

I didn't see a serial number on it.

At one time was a common item on ebay for about $50. S-W sells watches on there site. Pocket watches are slow sellers these days.. Not Swiss, or manufactured by s&w, made in china.

Default Pocket watches

I bought two of the "S&W" pocket watches from CDNN abt 10-12 yrs ago for IIRC $25. each.....gave one to a buddy for Christmas...still have the other one and it is identical to the one in the photo in post #6. The watch did not last long, the wooden pres box was cute and the wife assimilated it for some purpose.
