Small pewter barrel with Smith & Wesson logo
Anyone ever seen one of these? It's about 2 1/2" tall and 1 1/2" in diameter. The only marking is on the bottom, a small oval with "2001 Bergamot." I've exhausted every search term I can think of and haven't found a picture of another one anywhere on the web. Any input as to origin or value would be appreciated . . .

MUSS, I have no idea what your barrel was intended for, but it's neat. Good find.

Unfortunately, it's only open on one end. Bekeart pegged it. Like a pewter shot glass . . .

shot glass
Muss, I googled, "small pewter barrel by Bergamot", and saw a small pewter pencil holder. Not like yours but probably the same size, about. I'm gonna guess pencil holder like another poster said. If you find out for sure, let us know, OK? OK.
Peace,
Gordon
Hey I went back to google and typed in, Bergamot pewter barrel, and it is one of the first images. Do the Image search. The on they show says Jack Daniels on it but it is a bergamot and it looks just like yours except for the logo.
Dam, I love a challenge!!!!!

Bergamot was a licensed S&W maker of many items, mostly very nice belt buckles. If you check the S&W accessory catalogs for the late 90s and early 2000s, yoiu will see the various items they made for S&W, including this pewter looking container. Ed

And for those of you who like Earl Grey tea in the morning, oil of bergamot (from a citrus fruit) is one of the ingredients. Make it so.

I think they may have sold these at a small gift room that they have at the factory….when you go through the police and military armourer’s courses, you get a chance to go in and purchase stuff after the factory tour….I bought one of the armourer’s belt buckles and a s&w revolver tie pin….cool experience.
