Default Relining a wood presentation case

My model 27 came in the wood presentation case when new, circa mid 80s. The blue lining has basically turned to dust, does anyone have any experience with this or have any thought that on replacement lining, thanks

I would recommend Joe C. - "Icelet" on this forum - he does an excellent job relining presentation cases and is very reasonable.

Default Correct!

That's the correct email address! I'm VERY slow answering these days because of duties around the homestead! My better half had a total shoulder replacement and is having a tough time with the rehab! I now run things around my house, the washing machine, dryer, vacuum, dishwasher, frying pan, oven, etc! Being a chauffeur for Dr. appts is a big PITA! ! !
Sorry fellas, I hope to be back to normal soon!

Hey, Joe. Hope the missus gets healed up soon. That’s a lot of extra labor you’re having to do. All the best

Does anyone know where one can get the blue flocking material? I think it comes in a spray can?

I've relined a couple cases with felt fabric and spray adhesive. They actually turned out pretty good. Compared to one that came with a 29-2 I purchased in the 1970s the only way to tell is that the blue is a little bit darker than the original.

Both can be purchased at Hobby Lobby.

There was a thread with instructions and photos on relining cases here 5 or 6 years ago. It may have been written by Joe.
