Default CO2-Airgun 79G Opinions??

- Any experiences?
- What are the weak points of this eehm gun?
- What kind of accuracy can be expected at 10 yards?

Thanks for answering

No experience with this particular gun but lots of experience with similar concept pistols. I'd be skeptical of it's accuracy beyond minute of beer can at 10 M. Generally speaking, co2 power guns that run on a single 12gr cartridge suffer from inconsistent and diminishing velocities as you get past 20-30 shots or so. Also, they suffer more when rapid fired and/or in cold weather. Consequently, when you look at air pistols used in even informal 10M competitions, ( and capable of coin sized groups) they are usually singe stroke pneumatic or bulk fill co2/air.
Exceptions are very rare ( but do exist IF the manufacturer puts $ into the valve design as well as the barrel.).
All that said, if your looking to knock crab apples off a fence on a summer day, it might be just fine for your needs.
You might try asking over at the yellowforum though. Those guys are plugged into ANYTHING airgun related.

I have a .177 caliber S&W 586 CO2 with 6" barrel that I highly recommend. It's very accurate and has a great single action trigger and decent DA trigger and uses a 10 shot revolving clip and I have 5 clips which is about how long a CO2 cartridge lasts. I've had a lot of fun with it and I think it averages about 420 fps velocity.

I had one Crossman Skannaker that was a capable of competition accuracy. It was a bulk fill CO2 gun. The removable CO2 cylinders were filled from a bulk tank, and held enough for about 100 shots, but the pressure seemed to drop off after about 80 shots. It was fine for the 60 shot matches. I shot a couple of PTO matches with it and did as well as I was capable of, 530-540 on the 600 point match. This was back in the mid 80's when I could still hold a gun steady. If left and not used for awhile the seals tend to go bad and need replacing.

My current air gun is the IZH46,, single stroke pneumatic, and it is up to Olympic accuracy levels.

I'VE HAD SEVERAL OVER THE YEARS. THEY SHOOT FINE FOR MOST PURPOSES. NO THEY ARE NOT ACCURATE ENOUGH FOR REGULATION AIR PISTOL AT 10 METERS. THEY ARE PLINKERS. I'VE KILLED MANY A PESTS WITH THEM . I REALLY LOVE THE 78 IN 22. IT HITS HARD. JP
