Default S&W belt buckle help

Looking for some help on these belt buckles I just "lucked" into...I think? If anyone can provide me some info on these it would be much appreciated. I'm looking for any info, but would like to know, are they collectibles? Age? Value?

This is my first venture into anything S&W that doesn't go bang.

Nice collection. They are from 1975 on up into the 2000s.

Much appreciated. Looks like I should stay on the lookout, to fill in the gap years.
Thanks for the link, that seems to be on par for what I paid at a recent gun auction. Wish I could have gotten the whole collection! I only got about 1/4 of what was offered up. Oh well, the search continues and adds another dimension to my collection. Thanks again.

S&W buckle collecting can quickly become addicting. You have a start. EBay will show you the wide assortment out there and you can put together quite a few for little money. Get a copy of Pete Roberts booklet " Some of the Buckles of S&W" if you can find one and get copies of past S&W accessory catalogs, circa 1970s to date, for research info. There are sub sections of collecting (1) Factory authorized buckles, as listed in the factory accessory catalogs ( 2) factory licensed buckles by different makers, such as Bergamot. (3) non-authorized buckles, mostly made overseas. These are often crude designs and may say "Smith & Wesson" but will not carry the logo. Like guns, prices will vary depending on whether they are NIB, with papers, or used condition. Earliest buckles will date to approx. 1940s. Ed.

Very nice Steelerfan! I like S&W buckles but I don't collect them and I only have one. My wife gave it to me many years ago (late 70s) as a gift. It is round and brass with the S&W logo. It's very cool and I wear it just about every day. It is the 4th one shown in ko41's attachment. Good luck with future additions.

Well, the misses laid it down today. She doesn't like the buckle display or the idea of me collecting "another thing you going to obsess over". Here question was "Guns or Belt buckles?"...

GUNS OF COURSE. I'll be posting them here in the classifieds to ensure they get a good home. Man she runs a tight ship! Oh well.

Default Tight ship!

Sounds like Mike Tomlin could take a few pointers from her, then maybe, just maybe we get 7th SB trophy! Jeff T., Pgh , PA
S & W make great guns; that's what they should stick to. I bought a watch from their merchandising dept. It has no manufacturer's name on it; just imported from Japan. It hasn't worked in years. Yeah, at first it was the battery died, but when I pulled the thing out to set it, the whole thing came out! No more gun stuff that doesn't go bang!
