Default Grips

Just bought a gun off GB, and it came with these grips. They fit a K/L round butt.

Anyone know what type wood their made of and what they might be worth.

I'm going to have to disagree with Bam-Bam. Those grips regularly sell here on the forum for $250 and higher. The wood is Goncalo Alves used by S&W for many years for their target and presentation grips.
Respectfully;
Mike

I hope your right, cause I hate them, and they'll be coming off as soon as I get the gun.

If I can get anywhere near that out of them, I'll have got a great deal on the gun!

LOL...... well $250 is "$150 or so..."

Last set I sold went for $175 about a year ago; had them listed at $200 w/ no takers........really nice round butt N-frame

Combat's never fit my hands..... they all forced my little finger away from my ring finger.

I never liked them either. Sold every set I've owned. Just don't feel right in my hand.

The N frames bring $250 and up. K are less.

When I read how much the factory grips were worth on the early model 58 in my avatar, they came off , went into a safe place and some Ahrend's Retro Combats went on !
The Ahrend's are Sweet and they feel just right !

Default But They Were................

Standard equipment on these short barreled L & N frame revolvers were they not? As much as they seem to command a high price their design leaves something to be desired in comfort in my opinion, go figure.

I'll be the minority opinion here, at least in K-frame I find them to be one of the most comfortable grips I've found. Perhaps because I have a relatively small hand.

Grips are like shoes............ fit is not universal.........fit/comfort is a very personal decision.
