Default 6060

I have a 6060 folding knife a buddy gave me. He used to work in side the factory and gave me one. It had no box in mint condition but it has a number 2 with a circle stamped on one side of the Brass on the outside any thoughts.

Thanks

Can you post a photo? The 6060 is a Folding Hunter model with 440 steel blade and scales (handles) made from "Wesson Wood". a S&W composite material made to look like walnut. The marking you describe was applied at the factory to indicate "2nd quality " and the knife has some defect, perhaps cosmetic, that precluded retail sale, so they were so marked and given to employees. Ed.

I will post some photos soon. He found them in a box and was given the green light to grab a couple. Thanks for the reply.

The 2 in a circle is indeed the mark that indicates 2nd quality. It's still a very good knife. Treated correctly, it will serve you well for years. Buck Knife sheaths will fit it. I've had several. They were given to employees.

Thank you for the info. Any value? if not I'll use it. If there is I'll let it stay in the safe. Thanks again.
