Default Help with value on this S&W Holster

I picked up a bunch of holsters at an auction the other day. There was a civil war era holster in there, but this S&W holster caught my eye. Has S&W emblem on snaps instead of plain, I think the snaps are sterling silver as they are not picked up by magnet plus a little tarnish on underside of them. The holster is marked with S&W emblem on back and 21 78. I couldn't find a 78 in catalog. Black leather. pretty good shape . 10 inch overall length
Any ideas of the value ? or even what pistols fit it?

I have a S&W holster in brown. The snaps are not marked S&W but it is stamped "S&W" 19 26. Overall length is about 9".
Not so much interested in value but would like to know what revolver it was intended for. Is there a way to look up the info?
Thanks for any info.

S&W holster 21 signifies the "Blazer" model, which is probably S&W most prolific model. HoweverI don't find a # 78 handgun size listed for the Model 21 in any of my S&W leather catalogs. I do note the other size numbers beginning with the digit "7" are all for various Colt handguns, so perhaps # 78 is a newer style holster for a Colt. S&W made their own holsters from about 1969 to 1983 when they sold their leather company to Gould & Goodrich. Your holster appears to be designed for something like a .22 Auto pistol, judging from your photos. I would put the value in the $20 to $30 range. Ed.
