Vintage S&W Mod 6060 Knife/w Pics
Hello All, My better half picked up this minty vintage S&W Mod 6060 knife c.a. 1970's for our anniversary. It has the original box, some papers and sheath. Pictured with my c.a. 1970's Mod 19

Thanks F75gunslinger, I believe there were five original models that S&W commissioned and that Blackie Collins himself had a hand in their design.

There were seven in the set. Bowie model 6010, Outdoorsman model 6020, Survival model 6030, Fisherman's Fillet model 6040, Fisherman model 6050, Folding Hunter model 6060 and the Skinner model 6070. Some sets were sold in a glass case containing the seven knives and some sets contained five knives.

Club Fan, thanks for the info.
I'm going have a go at collecting all of these, you know for preservation reasons.

That is a beauty! I may be a little biased about that though. I've admired those S&W knives since they were in production, and finally bought a 6060 folder several years ago. More recently, bought one of the fixed blade 6030 models.
Added a gratuitous photo of my 6060 folder, with a model 66 no-dash I bought back in '74 and carried every working day for several years

Rock185, that is a sweet combo and man do those knives just look so right with a period revolver?
Thanks for sharing,

I have a 6061 folder with sheath . I don't know if it's part of the series or not . It's one of the S&W things I inherited from my brother . I can put up some pics if anyone is interested .

Cherrypointmarine, the 6061 is a nice knife and although not part of the Blackie Collins originals it's an 80's classic and quite collectable when unmolested .
The crew on this site really appreciates pics so post away.
