My First set of K Frame Magnas!
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share a set of used but very nice K Frame Magnas I bought today at the Columbia SC gunshow. These are period to my 66 nd and I think they look nice.
Bought these from a super friendly and helpful gentleman that specializes in fine S&W factory grips. He cut me a heck of a deal on these and I couldn't be happier.
He had a wide assortment of grips; from very fine and rare all the way down to budget bins of mis-matched and extras. I also bought a used set of J Frame uncle Mikes boots from him as well.
If you are out there somewhere on the forum sir, Thanks Again!
-Sam

I just might have to do that!
Where is a good place to but them? Do they have a website?

Sam, Check Ebay, as there is usually several T grip choices listed there, or place a "wanted" ad here on the Forum. Ed

The best financial deal is with BK Grip Adapters.
Tyler's are running in the $80-90 range.
BK are about $25..........
Just saying

They look great, and in VGC. Now that you have a good pair of factory stocks, you need to buy some aftermarkets to actually use, and keep the factory jobs clean and free of wear.
My M66-1 came with those stocks, I took them off and added a set of rosewood Altamont stocks.

Ok, that seems more financially sensible.
Any difference in build quality/

Woah! Those Altamonts look killer! I was wanting to buy a set of those but they have been sold out on the site FOREVER

I have one of each and they both fit and stay in place. I can see no difference.

RoadRat,
Thanks for the tip, those seem to be more in my budget, so I will look into them.

OP: see pics below of Tyler T. There are a set of brass "clips" protruding that clip to the frame and are secured by the grip panels. The contour fits the gun very well as shown on my Model 64.
I don't particularly care for grip adapters so I gave these away on a Karma offer last month here on the Forum.
As far as fit and function, the one shown fit nice and tight, no slop while handling or shooting, the aluminum finish jived well with the stainless of the gun.
I don't know about the BK (I heard they have 2 sets of clips, but may not fit as tight to the trigger guard contour...but again...just hearsay...I don't know).
Tyler T ordered new from Tyler has gathered a ton of posts on here that it is a one man show, and can be very frustrating to actually receive your order, communication, really late shipping, etc. so as posted by others...either BK or Tyler T off of flea-bay at more expensive "buy-it-now" prices.

It took 4 months from when I ordered mine to get them. I have several pairs for my other S&W's, know their quality, so I was willing to wait.
