List of catalogs
I have searched through my references and searched on here, but cannot find a list of catalogs each accompanied by a picture, which would aid in identification.
Sorry in advance if I missed something obvious, but anyone know of such a list and where I could find it?

I'm a bit confused as to what exactly you are looking for?!
S&W catalogs?

Sorry if I wasn't clear.
Yes, Smith & Wesson Catalogs.
In SCSW-4, there is a list of catalogs, and a few pictures, but most catalogs are not associated with the matching picture. I'm interested in a list that has a picture with each catalog.
Sorry, I guess I'm just a visual guy...

Pages 476-480 in SCSW-4, if that's what you are asking.
Thanks for the suggestion of Cornell - they are great folks and I have several of their reproductions. While their list of S&W catalogs for sale helps, you can only look at one at a time - I was hoping for one comprehensive list.

I did the catalog section. I sent pictures for almost every catalog I listed. The publisher is the one who chose pictures. There are no lists of Smith & Wesson catalogs and associated literature. I have over 1,000 pieces of paper. A list is almost impossible. Someday I want to get the list I've started published. Here are a few of some seldom seen Smith & Wesson catalogs.

Thanks for the reply and the pics. I, for one, would very much like your list - even if incomplete- published in the journal.

Do you mean something like this?
These are dealers catalogs from the early 2000s.
LOOK AT THOSE MUG SHOTS!!!
They have all the knifes, leather, revolvers and autos with pictures. I briefly worked for a subsidiary of Knights Armament. We sold to Prosecutors, LEOs and the Prison system.
Is there Model that your looking for in particular ?

MJK-MOD-547, What hutlike is looking for is a listing of all the S&W catalogs & publications going back to the beginning in the 19th century. Don has an extensive collection and his list would probably be one of the prime sources if this data. Your photos show a couple of the 21st century S&W catalogs. I believe the 1st "catalog" is a small one sheet flyer advertising the Model Ones, circa 1860. Ed.

Here are some more pictures of my catalogs and flyers. I have the 1860 single sheet Ed mentioned. I just need to get a decent picture of it.

Ed This is the one you mentioned. I know of at least 4 different examples of this flyer.

Don, Yes that's the one. I've seen "different" examples of this in Roy's collection, but that's been a few years ago and if I recall the difference was probably just different printing runs. You're a printer, what do you think ? Do you have all 4 examples in your collection ? ( As you know, Roy printed a batch of these as "repos" to give away at our annual meetings and he put his name on them just below the frame in front of the trigger so his copies would not get confused wit the originals. ) Clem Muller had at least two, maybe more, that were slightly different because of different printing runs. Ed.

I could use 1946 to about 1959 or so. Are you selling?

I used to dream of actually going through Mr Wessons original office with the roll top desk and the awesome paneling in his office. But now I'd much rather see in-person all the schtuff Don possesses! This is apparently what he does. He collects memoribilia, and he knows things! And I'm only going on what I've seen that he posts. As an aside, I'm thankful for what he does with the factory letters. Just Wow.

Group, Don has probably the best S&W paper collection, including items unknown to anyone else ( including a roll of S&W toilet paper from D.B.Wesson's outhoue, I'm told !) ! You may also like to know Don is a retired printer, among other skills like dumpster diving, and printers can print whatever they desire, right? Ed

That would be a massive collection. Or do you mean one from every year.
It seams every time I add a Catalog I find two others I don't have...the 1950s decade there must be 60 plus types.
With regard to 1959 I know I have 5 different circulars and there are at least 4 others I don't have.
Hint hint is anyone is selling up....
