Smith & Wesson Factory Desk Set
Just completed refinishing the wood, need to clean the metal.
Anybody else have one of these. They made several models.
Bought this a few days ago on eBay from a previous S & W employee.

I have one with a .44 Mag cylinder and a small frog!
Here is mine. EVERYONE who comes in my office the first time comments on it. “Is that from a real gun?” “Will it shoot?” “Why is there a little frog on there?”

I have had this on my desk for a few years. It went stupid cheap on ebay. I don't know who Cliff was but he rated two .357 Magnum barrels.

I’ve got one right in front of me! The barrel houses a Parker Jotter and I keep small screwdrivers in the cylinder.

I have over 25 desk sets, some still in the original boxes. I have a number that were made at Smith & Wesson for and by employees. I have one of Victor Wessons pencil/pen holder. When they closed the Wood Shop they sold off the remaining Desk Sets to employees for $1.00 each. I bought over 200 Model 19 barrels for one employee that saved them from being trashed. I use them to had hats, cups handcuffs and what have you in my gun room.

Here's a couple more pictures. In addition to the barrels, I also bought over 100 cylinders. They were all scrap and destined to be made into desk sets before the project was dropped.

No wonder why they had financial problems----tossing that many barrels and cylinders could not be real cost effective.

No, All the barrels and cylinders were scrap. Rather then juck them, they made desk sets.

Don’t blame you one bit...
Loose lips sink ships. Tell one person about your favorite hunting or fishing spot and you can kiss it goodbye!
