Gentlemen......I am quickly amassing my collection of excellent condition, in the box, 1970's era Blackie Collins series knives. The only ones I am missing are the 6010 Bowie and the 6030 Survival.
I am eyeballing a 6030 Survival model with the box, but the stamping on the leather sheath, in addition to the color of the sheath's leather, has me suspicious.
Would the stamping on the sheath of the 6030 Survival read "Bowie/Survival", and would the color of the leather be lighter brown in color than the darker color of the leather of the other knives in the series? I have seen pics of a 6010 Bowie with a sheath and the stamp on the leather has the same "Bowie/Survival" on it. Furthermore, the sheaths for the other knives in the series have numbers stamped on them i.e., 105, 107, 108, etc.
Thanks in advance for guidance.
