Default S&W Elite Silver Grade I - Prince of Wales @ CDNN

Guys,

yesterday I got the current CDNN catalog and they offer a Elite Silver Grade I - Prince of Wales for $999.99 instead of $2,380.00 MSRP.

I think this is a very nice piece and want to share it with you.

Since firearms cannot be sold directly to the public, everyone needs to understand that the price published by CDNN is a DEALER price, and many dealers will mark-up the price to some extent.

Of course, if you have a buddy with an FFL, I suppose that is different and some FFLs will only charge a "transfer fee."

Obviously, it will have to be sent from CDNN to a dealer, so check with your dealer as to the mark-up BEFORE you do anything.

Some FFLs have said, and justifiably so, that if you want "that price," then all you have to do is get a business location, get your own FFL, pay all associated costs of doing business, etc.

I don't know about that. I orderd once a pistol from them and what I paid was their price + shipping + transfer cost.

So why would CDNN put dealer prices in an end consumer catalog?

Perhaps I don't understand your statement correctly...

This S&W Elite has been in their catalog several times for 999 because I have been considering it myself. Actually thats what lead me to here in the long guns to see it anyone had one and how high quality they are? Most of the time CDNN has closeouts, but this one doesnt mention anything about that, so the MSRP really makes me wonder. Would love to hear from someone who owns one about quality.

I don't know what you have been reading, but the price for the guns at CDNN is the price you pay plus a FFL transfer fee and in Washington, the sales tax.
