My last surviving aunt (90 years old) called me a few days ago to help her get rid of some guns. My uncle died in 1982 and this stuff has been in her closet since. She's been telling me for over 30 years she was gonna get rid of this stuff. She's decided to sell her house and stuff needs to go. The guns in question today are
1) S&W model 1000 12 ga. FS216XX 26 in. imp cyl. (2) S&W model 1000 12 ga. FS330XX 30 in. full choke. (3) S&W 1000 20 ga. FS159XX 26 in. imp cyl. (4) S&W 1000 20 ga. FS159XX 26 in imp cyl. (consecutive serial numbers)
These guns all have very nice wood, engraved recievers, vented barrels, and all are in original boxes and appear unfired. The two 20 ga guns have consecutive serial numbers. My question is what are they worth? I'd like to sell the 20 ga. together because of consecutive numbers and the 12 ga. separately. If someone is interested I might make a package deal on all of them. I would like to give forum members first shot. I have to know what they're worth first.
Also in the pile was two model 25-3's S&W Commemorative,(1977) in correct wood boxes with Jinks book, both with 6 1/2" barrel, a complete Texas Ranger Mod Commemorative package (1973) with matching serial number knife, and a Model 10-6 Bull barrel from 1963. The 19 TR is sold, and the model 10 now belongs to me and is NFS. It's a new heirloom.
I'm going to do a thread about this in the lounge, hopefully in a few minutes, where I will talk about some other stuff she had, Right now I need info on the shotguns.
