S&W M1000 Pics added
This is a new area for me . I am looking at buying a couple of semi's off a friend of a friend . Come to find out , he has a M1000 for sale also . I leant my friend my copy of the 4th bible , so all I have is the 3rd . He has a M1000 , blued , with scrolling . No disconnect swivels , ventilated rib . Can't figure out what it is . Not a waterfowler , that's parkerized . Any ideas guys ? Can't make an offer if I don't know what it is . Thanks

The 1000’s were pretty good shotguns. As I recall, they ran about $300 new. Check gunbroker for sold prices.

Years ago I owned a S&W M1000 12 ga. Pretty nice auto as I recall. Made in Japan by either Howa or SKB ( top notch gun companies). traded it for another Remington 1100, my all time favorite. If you can buy a M1000 in excellent shape for around $300.00, I don't see how you can go wrong ( IF parts are available).

I have a M1000 that looks just like this. My father was a pump guy. He always felt like an auto would jam. I picked up the used M1000 cheap and gave it to me dad to try. It was light and he used it for small game hunting. Dad's been gone for over 20 years now so that gun (along with the rest of his toys) are now in my gun cabinet. I don't small game hunt anymore so it's just a display gun.
