That wouldn't be too bad of a job. Just shoot customers guns all day long on company ammo. And not have to clean the guns when you are done.

Did they give you any extra magazines when they returned your gun?

Got my rifle Saturday October 24th, took it out today Friday October 30. First 80-90 rounds (At 3 in the clip at a time, due to stupid PA Gaming Range laws) went through like a charm with one failure to fire. The sights were a little low so we raised them a notch.

When we went to another range later in the day that allows you to load a full clip and fired another 50 rounds. The first 15 rounds fired well. I got most of the shots on target and I was having a lot of fun. Then I started to get failure to eject problems. By the end of the 50 rounds the gun was failing to eject after just 5-6 rounds with one round getting stuck in the bore.

Sadly now it has to go back to S&W for repairs, I just hope when I get it back this never happens again. I am not mad just disappointed.

Yes. Two. I didn't want to brag about it; seems S&W wants to make amends for problematic rifles. With the 3 extra magazines I purchased after getting the rifle, that puts me up to 6 total; probably too many for target shooting, but nice to have... The rifle is dirty, though; cardboard, lubricant, and powder residue all over it.

Can never have too many magazines.

Sounds like time for a thorough cleaning.

Thumbs up

Got my 15-22 about two weeks ago. Took it out today for the first time. Shot 100 rounds of Winchester Super X with only one failure to fire. I inspected the round and it had a nice indent from the firing pin. Then after those 100 rounds I decided to load some Remington bulk. The first round didn't chamber, then I had some FTE. In less than 1 mag I had 4 failures. Needless to say I pulled the mag out and dumped the remaining rounds back into the box. The Bass Pro was out of CCI so next time I'll give them a try. All in all the rifle shot really well at 25 yards I had all but 1 round in the bullseye. Looking forward to many more rounds and having it broke in. Should be a tack driver. Spoke with an employee at Bass Pro who has one too, he said his will shoot Remington bulk all day. He also said it outshoots his 10/22?

Cleaned up and back on target. So I guess I'll be forced to clean before every 1,000 rounds. Geesh.... what a hastle! (wink)

The distance I like best is 50 yards. The 15-22 will stay on a 2inch target with a red dot while I lean against a post. And for cans and such at 50 yards... it's a blast. I did some bench shooting at 100 yards with a 3-9x scope but was less than impressed. I'll stay with my bolt action Savage if accuracy at 100 yards is the game.

Be interesting to add some weight on the 15-22 barrel and see how it responds.
