Lancef the Mako mag well grip fits but does need trimming some,
also it could put pressure on the magazine causing problems to feed.

I'm pretty sure I love that Alien Armor Gear sleeve, too. I went to the website and it said, "launching soon" -
If you don't mind: how can I buy one?

It just slips over the quad rail?
Seems like it would be huge.

my rifle
new member... short time lurker. i saw and bought the rifle before finding the site. wealth of knowledge here and i am happy to be a member.
i have already added a few mods that now has me over the initial cost of the rifle. seems like the norm here so looks like im in good company. i have already swapped my slidefire stock out for the mft stock and i think i have swapped the hand guards...again.
so far...this is what it looks like.

Here's a picture of my M&P15-22 with a KAC URX 3.1 that I installed. It took some modifying of the upper receiver and the KAC barrel nut but I'm extremly happy with the end result. The only thing left to do is to put the KAC rail panels on.

It's a 4.5" threaded barrel shroud from tacticoll22.com
I like it a lot. You can feel the weight of the shroud. Since the rifle is soo light, it just balances out.

HDHNTER, thanks, really appreciate the feedback. I didn't zoom in but on the scope I also included a subdued Spartan.

Out of (morbid) curiosity, can you specify what length/buy varying positioned pinneded stocks or are they always pinned in the same position e.g. at their maximum extension position?

So you're allowed to pin and re-pin it at will without committing an offence?? It sounded like a pointless piece of firearms legislation in the first place but if thats the case it is literally not work the paper its written on!

Not really, i mean the firearm legislation is there to stop people getting hold of those 30.cal magazine clips you hear so much about that fire 30 rounds in half a second from their ghost guns.

Though might struggle to stretch the barrel back to 16inch

Thanks trebor127! The keymod free float handguard is made by NcStar VISM (model# VMP22FFKMM). They come in both 13" and 15" (I got the 13" version). There is no gap because it includes a spacer that locks in between the receiver and handguard/barrel nut. It is made specifically for the M&P 15-22, so it requires ZERO modifications to install and it even comes with the barrel nut wrench!!! They sell on eBay for about $87 for the 13" and $94 for the 15" (I'm not sure how that converts to U.K. currency). I got lucky and just happened to discover it while it was on sale. I paid $72 shipped. Best $72 I've spent!

How do you insert a picture here....
When I click "Insert Image" it asks for a URL of the image. What is a URL and how do I find it for a given picture?

Unload your mags before your FU the springs, plus it's probably illegal to travel like that.

Such a fun gun to run. Just got my 15-22 a couple weeks ago and I'm really liking the M Lok handguard. Ended up adding additional M Lok type 2 covers at 3, 6 & 9 o'clock positions. Also added XTM covers on the picatinny rail. The texture on the rail covers and the SL grip is fantastic.

I'm not real worried about the springs. Consensus seems to be spring wear comes from constant use, not extended periods of compression only:
Is it OK to keep my M&P mags loaded
I don't travel with loaded magazines in my guns - but the mags are loaded and ready close by if/when needed.

Well, after a lifetime of shooting, I took the last 25 years off. I kept six old but great pieces. Two months ago honey and I started, in earnest. She likes it a lot and takes skill development and practice seriously. My old stuff is heavy, her new stuff is not. Over 1000 rounds in her Compact 0 in her new rifle (so far).[IMG] [/IMG]

Also note that in our state you can legally carry a loaded handgun in your car as long as the car is in your name and under your control and you can do so without any kind of license. There are no laws against long guns in our state so yes you can leave your mags loaded and in the gun. For me like Texas Element all my long guns have loaded mags near by but not in the gun itself.
Hopefully our open carry without a permit gets pushed through this year.
