Here's mine with some of its family members! Almost done with it. All I need now is to get a fake can or muzzle brake for the barrel, change out the pistol grip and possibly get a new stock. Also get a light. The AK-47 in the pic is a GSG AK-47 which is also .22 cal. Don't plan on adding **** to the AK, just gonna keep it pure, it's perfect as is. The big daddy at the top is a Mossberg 590A1 Special Purpose for home defense.
Currently the M&P 15-22's got Magpul XTM rail panels, Mako light holder, Sightmark reflex sight, UTG vertical grip (might replace with a Magpul AFG). Also got a thread adapter for the barrel since I live in a communist state (NY) where threaded barrels aren't allowed.
I love this gun but still haven't fired it yet. Waiting for summer time so I can go out to the range with friends.

Hey BugOut.. Nice setup. Mind telling me where you picked up that threaded barrel adapter? I'm in NJ and we're also not allowed to have threaded barrels.
Is the adapter "legal" since it still technically makes the barrel threaded?

I got it here: M&P15-22 Barrel Tools and Accessories - M&P15-22 Parts, Tools, and Accessories
To be honest, I'm not sure how legal it is and I do need to find out. The guy at my local gun store said it would be ok as long as I don't put a real flash hider or can on it. I need to find out for sure though. I plan on getting a fake can or a muzzle brake for it. I can't stand the plain barrel at all.

It's a Magpul AFG. You can get one any place that carries Magpul parts.

To tell you the truth, I don't plan on using it with my 15-22. I ordered it for my incoming Kel-Tec SU-16CA. I just gussied my 15-22 up with it.
That being said, were I to use it with my 15-22, I would def. get a riser.

Did yours come with the MBUS from the factory? My dealer had one on the shelf tagged new with MBUS and he said he was "sure" it wasn't a trade-in. How do you like the NCStar? Would you say it is a quality product? Thanks for any info!

I started a new thread about the MBUS model of the 15-22 so we don't hijack the thread. I do like the NCStar reflex sight because of the unlimited eye relief.

That's what so nice about the 15-22, it can change with the mood or as the wind changes direction, so does the 15-22.....

Thanks, I didn't think that it would look good also, but it looks alright. I can't wait till this weekend to use it to zero in my ncstar. Hopefully my harris bipod, and adaptor will come in before the weekend so I can use that to.

Well I am the new guy to the boards. I found out about the site about a week ago. I've just got through doing a few upgrades to my 15-22. I installed a stock kit in UDE from LaRue Tactical ( Magpul CTR stock, Magpul MOE grip, LaRue FUG, Larue rail clips). I also added a Troy QD swivel mount & LaRue tactical 2 point sling. Also took the EoTech 553 off of my 15T to play around with. So far it is a blast to shoot, Several hundred rounds without a problem. It is a DTHxxx serial number. Doesn't have the blue spring upgrade or anything that I can see.

Jaybone,
Your MBUS are on backwards. They should fold to the rear not the front.
Nice looking rig!

OK, here it is...as soon as i figure out how to post a photo i will....got my new 15-22 this morning at 10 am, by 2pm, i had 400 rounds through it....3 failure to feed...prob due to mag loading...ser#DTU 97**. have ncstar 1.25-4x32, MBUS, forend grip, single point strap, ncstar laser, and a few 25 round mgs, only used cci mini mags...1 inch off-hand at 25 yards...crayola "racing stripes", ...OK, now what i need, new grips..kinda uncomfortable, threaded barrel(flash supressor),...and a scope riser, i figure 1/2 inch to make it comfortable. great gun to shoot!! love it! very accurate and comfortable. before i shot it, i took it apart, degreased it, re oiled it, trigger, slide etc..,and drooled over it(lol). if someone can help me with the pics, ill have them up tomorrow.

ill tell ya what...its SOLID!, seems robust, well made. i got the mil dot recticle. i like it a lot!! very clean and bright optics. the quick release is adjustable, came with a spare battery. i took it off a few times and it seemes to hold zero. the magnification ring is smooth and easily adjusted, it came with a nice set of bikini covers, the red and green are very easy to see and crisp. I spent prob 15 hours on the web compairing scopes and readind different forums and i am not dissapointed! the low 1.25x is good for close up shots while the 4x is grest for longer shots. if all thier products are like this,...id reccomend this scope without hesitation. ill try and pot some pics later...after i go shooting again..still have about 1000 rounds left...calling my name..lol
ill also post another range report at the same time. oh yeah i almost forgot, i got one of the "compliant" ones...had to drill out the pin in the stock so it is now fully adjustable and will drill the pin out of my 10 rounder to make it another 25'r:

Hello fellow M&P15-22 fans!
I just got mine about three weeks ago, and I absolutely love it! I have added on a few extras. SightMark Red Dot sight (Aimpoint clone), (M6X clone) LED flashlight with red laser, and LaRue Index Clips.
I'd really like to add one of the "Sniper" pistol grips with the palm shelf on the bottom. Has anyone successfully added one of those? If so, which manufacturer?
I also want to change the stock. But there are so many options out there, I just can't decide on one. I'm pretty sure it will be one of Magpul's offerings though.
