How does that VTAC light (coyote color) mount match up with the Magpul Flat Dark Earth? Looks like it does in the pics. BTW, nice toy.

Magpul CTR
Magpul Moe Grip
Magpul rail covers
Magpul BUS
Walther PS 22 Tactical Red Dot
Tapco Vertical Grip Short
UTG Tactical OP Bipod
Viking Tactical Light Mount
Surefire G2 Light
Desert Tactical Dual Bungee Single Point Δ Delta Sling™
This is a Walther PS 22 Tactical Red Dot Sight 30mm Tube 1x 5 MOA Dot. I got it from MidwayUSA for $67 shipped. I love this red dot. The dot is a little smaller than a 5 MOA. Which i don't mind because it's a little better for longer distances. It has 11 brightness settings. On a bright bright bright! sunny day you might need to use the highest setting. I was using 7 most of the day. It co-witnesses with my MBUS. Took me only 5 shots to zero in. I highly recommend this dot for anyone out there looking to spend under a $100.
This target is at 25yds using my bipod
This target is at 25yds standing with both eyes open

Updated pic. Got my red dot/green dot yesterday so i painted the dust covers to match my shroud, stock and mags. Tell me what you guys think!
Sry for the pic it's kinda blurry. Also, I just noticed that the magpul FDE accessories look A LOT darker in the pic compared to my painted parts. In person they're practically identical...weird.

it actually matches up very well. There's a slight difference but you would have to sit there and stair at it for a while to notice it. thanks!

Pretty interesting color combination you've got going. Would have selected tan accessories to go with it but, hey, it stands out and it says "MINE".

Its what came with the gun, with an added 3/4 inch cheek rest(midway), and I swapped out the handle for one with a palm shelve(midway).

Semi Upgraded
Heres my 15-22 as it sits now. Sorry for the HUGE photo
Waiting on my scope, Hogue Grip In Ghillie Tan and FDE Magpul XTM covers to come in the mail. Scope is a FACOG but its in FDE and I've heard decent reviews of it. Also want to get a bipod when i have the funds and a Magpul FDE Stock either the CTR or MOE. Can you see the color scheme im going with yet?
Right now i just have a UTG Foregrip, 3 extra mags and fake can, once again waiting for funds to get a real one.
I love this thing and try and shoot as much as possible, love that its so cheap to shoot

I may be jumping the gun but almost positive, correct me if im off, but its called stipling, or something like that.
Take a soldering iron(pen type) and just go to town. Theres a thread around on an AR forum from a guy modding an A2 grip and doing this type of method.

Strat, Cooper is right. They're Magpul XTM rail covers that I stippled. Like Coop said, get a soldering iron and "dimple" the polymer. Pretty easy. You'll end up with what I have there.
Be warned, I originally did the grips on my Glock, but it gets addicting!

Like stated before its a heat stippling job done with a soldering iron. I also did the grip on my EDC Glock 27 because the polymer is so slippery when you have sweaty or muddy hands. Just like Mac said, it is addicting. It doesn't take a great deal of skill to get it done, but it takes patience and a little skill to make it look "good". Be smart and test your stippling skills on an area that wont matter or even an old A2 grip. If you don't feel comfortable doing it there are several companies out there that offer it as a service.
BTW, nice looking rifle Mac. How long did it take you to stipple all those XTM's?

stratdragon92, I love the way the XTM's really change the look of the rifle. Initially, I had some KAC covers on the 15-22's rails, but they didn't like to stay in place.
Cheers, m4jor. Took me about 15 mins per pair of XTM's.
Here's an update. The old spray job looked pink in the camera flash, so I re-hit it...
Still not finished. I want to get one of those Primary Arms T1 knock offs for it and camo that to match the rest of the rifle. Then I think this will be done.
I think.

Hi. This is my first post here. I've been reading the 15-22 forum for the last few months ever since I decided I wanted to get one. I finally got the threaded version, #DUA0xxx, last Wednesday after waiting nearly 2 months with the rifles on back order at the store. I've been watching this topic and finally decided to post.
Blue spring:
Addons:
3 extra 25 rd magazines (new type)
Surefire G2 held on with 1 inch Weaver rings
CenterPoint laser sight
UTG 5-position foregrip
Tasco RedDot
=========
By the way, this is my first S&W and my first black rifle, unless you count my 10/22 with all-weather stock. 1500 rounds and only 3 jams. 30 rds CCI MiniMags, 50 rds Rem. Golden Bullets, and 325 rds Federal AutoMatch with no problems, 1095 rds Federal 550 Bulk with 3 stove pipes. I call that good. So far I've only shot it at 10 yards, and at that distance it is as accurate as my other .22 rifles.

did you have any issues with your rear take down pin detent when you put that miad grip on there. mine isn't catching the spring and putting pressure on the detent and the take down pin just falls out now.

I have the magpul grip wedge that fills the area where the spring hits the grip, and also fills the gap between the receiver and the grip.
