They are great lookin' shrouds, top notch work. I bet you will sell a bunch in the classified section. Who wouldn't want one of those on their rifle? I do.

i wouldn't worry about it. this whole thread is advertising. what stock do you have, where did you get it, how much? it's all advertising for some aftermarket company. who cares, no one gets hurt. it's not like you're trying to run a business from the smith long guns forum page.

Absolutely! Compared to what I have seen on the market, BeltFed Products Inc (just a hint) is like awesome x2.

You produced a super clean, outstanding model. I'm sure they will make you loads of money. Nice add in the classified section by the way. The combo shroud / flash hider is great. What colors are you going to do?

BELT_FED did all the work, he owns it, and deserves it. BeltFed Products Inc is the mac daddy for names. Better trade mark it before ChattanoogaPhil takes it
Heres the link M&P 15-22 BARREL SHROUDS for the shrouds.
I just copied and pasted.
Good luck and best wishes on your projects BELT_FED.

finally a few pix.
add-ons...
-magpul ctr
-magpul 1/2" cheek rest
-magpul xtm covers on bottom rail
-magpul ladder covers on side rails
-magpul miad pistol grip
-tapco shorty vfg
-mamba A2 sling converted to single point sling
-ncstar dual red dot/laser with quick detach mounts
-front sling mount
-new dpms trigger and hammer spring with a modified 15 minute trigger job (i didn't cut the hammer spring, i bent it slightly, about 5-10 degrees, to lighten the tension and i only bent the trigger spring about 15 degrees). much improved and i don't have to worry about the hammer pin "walking" out because i didn't cut the hammer spring.
the optic is nice for the price. the laser is a bit underpowered. the laser also wouldn't work in temps under 20 degrees. the red dot worked at that cold temp but not as well as indoors where it was a balmy 68 degrees. not a good cold weather option but not bad for $65.
very happy with this little rifle.
add-on's for the coming months
-threaded barrel
-new optic
-magpul mbus (have them, just haven't put them on yet)
-magpul 1/4" cheek rest

the QD is great. fits very well, locks tight and when i take it on/off it stays on zero. best thing, it came with the optic.

i hear you on the bare muzzle! i'm in no hurry on that but it will get threaded this year.

Finally got my 15-22 this Friday and took it out to the desert to shoot. I've had all the accessories for about a month and a half so you can say i have been waiting on this gun for awhile. Got a little Duracoat happy but it came out pretty good, I used the Magpul FDE from MidwayUSA. Put through a box of the Federal 525 pack from Cabelas and only had 2 FTE due to loading. I must say I'm happy with going with the 15-22 and it is a fun gun to shoot, would have been more fun if I could use a full magazine(Had to get the 10/25 mags from RRAGES for Cali rules). I think my M&P15 is going to take a backseat for awhile. Also uploaded the rest of the family, Sig P229 and Sig Mosquito.

thanks!
Years ago, I was trying to make a log-on that wasn't "already taken".. running out of ideas after 43 failed attempts, I glanced at a bottle of multi-vitamins on my desk, and my eyes landed on Vitamin D3, so I tried it.. since then, anytime ive needed a name in a pinch, its worked! and for the most part, its my first attempt now!

haha, yep. Not too much to it, I think it looks better too. I'd take it just a littttttle bit slower with the dremel tool if I had it to do over. I was using the dremel to remove material so I could put the thingy in that goes in the end of the hand rail. But oh well, it looks pretty good. I'm going to get the barrel threaded one day soon so I can put a flash hider on it.

It's Centurion ammo. And that's the bullet on them, the casings are brass.

It is a mighty fine looking rifle. The muzzle is plain and your front sight is backwards. There is an adapter for the muzzle. The shorter quad rail does look nice. Way to start a trend vitamin3d.
The two tone looks a lot better than I imagined it would.
What is the black thing on the grip?

Haha yeah my front sight is backwards, I didn't even realize that. I like the two tone as well. That black piece on the grip is where a pressure switch for a laser goes

UTG 5 ***. vertical grip, carry handle and mount-nc star 4x scope, bike tubes over the pistol grip and vertical grip. If you can cut them cleanly, and find the right size, a bike tube works perfectly for some applications. Funny thing, the tactical team guys around here have been asking me about getting tubes now for the grips on their carbines.

My two favorite rimfires
Heres a few shots of my favorite rimfires! Actually the walther is considerably more stealthy when suppressed! only a small click! even though all you hear from either is the action cycling!!

Just got it yesterday.
Vortex Strike Fire
Magpul BUIS
UTG Covers
UTG Fore Grip
Serial #: DTM****
Blue Star Stamp
Wanting to do the trigger mod, but think I will put 1k rounds through it first. I'm worried about having to warranty it.
Found out quickly astigmatism and red dots don't mix. It's not the optic. Hopefully I can use it, if not I might have a good deal on a brand new Vortex.
Will be one to two weeks before I can shoot it, God permitting. Will post a detailed range report.

Well I have had mine for a while, searched through this thread just now and realized that I did not post a picture!
I finally got mine to fire without any FTE. When I first got the rifle it would jam on nearly every shot I took, especially with CCI Mini Mags.
I took it out today after tweaking the ejector and no problems whatsoever!!!
I was using the iron peep sights, I was able to hit a 2" diameter swinging target from 25 yards out 95% of the time!
Extremely accurate and I'm glad I did not pay extra for those ****** Colt imported rifles.
I wanted to leave it more stock than anything. Instead of getting some ladders/rail covers I decided to go with a little nub for a front grip. Smallest one I could find over at Brownells.
It's hollow so I loaded it up with .22lr bullets for those "just in case" moments.

The S&W 15-22 is the first firearm I have ever purchased. It was a Xmas gift to me and my boys. My dad used to take me out target shooting and I really enjoyed it so I wanted to do the same for my kids.
We had a blast this weekend. We went through about 500 rounds and several unsuspecting cans of soda!

sprocketeer has discovered what makes life really worth while. I enjoyed the photos of your boys very much. My daughter and I used to go out shooting just like that when she was young. Maybe it is time to do it again. Thanks for the inspiration.
