Right now keeping these simple.
Vortex Strikefire Red Dot only and modified factory grip.
Tasco (made in Japan) 2.5-10X44 and modified factory grip
So far both shoot the 550 Value Pack Remington 36gr HP, Remington 40gr HV Golden Bullet, Winchester 40gr HV and CCI Blazer 40gr very well. The Blazers are the 500 round pack (50021).

I went with the MOE hand guard but I was getting other parts done so I put it back together so I could take it the range. I will be putting it on soon, meanwhile I painted the stock hand guard a dark chocolate brown to go with the multicam.

It'll never be finished, but this is how it sits now. Functional and fun.
DZL serial #
Hogue pistol grip
Walmart Red lazer
Center Point 4-reticle red dot
Cheap LED flashlight
About 6' of electrical tape
Winchester single point sling
Push Button single point sling adapter
2 25 round mags
Tacticrayola
Bandana because it works for my cheek weld.
Other than the above it is a base model 15-22.
My dad shooting it the first day I brought it out to his property.

Just a center point red/green dot I've had for a while, mounted it until I decide what I want to go with for optics. Still undecided.

Lol. Nice. I have moved away from stippling though. Unless it is on a round item I now use skateboard deck tape. I find the traction much better and if worn it can be replaced.

Thanks guys. I've never stippled anything before. I've always thought about doing it to the afg2, but wanted to try it on something else first.

I'm afraid that if you're already thinking about it... then the answer is yes
...and then, of course, you'll be needing a BAD lever...

Thank you.
I guessed at the right height, but it came out about right. I don't know if I'd go any lower than that. If you have any suggestions, I'm interested, though.

New member here.
Just picked up my base model 15-22 for $409 out the door local (and the mosin for $99)
The day they came home (with 300 rounds through it the day I bought it)
After browsing the forums I decided to tacticrayola it.

I did not bend the BAD lever at all. When I handle the weapon the bolt has never released when ejecting the mag. It has happened to my son a few times. I suspect he may be bumping the BAD lever as he's releasing a mag. He has been drilling his speed reloads and tac-reloads and it hasn't happened for a while.

I decided to bend the lever, did not want to modify my registered lower.
Maybe my mag release comes out further than yours. Humm....
