Yes it is not as dark as others. I guess S&W wanted to be a little different with this limited run of color.

Sorry, just saw this? Guess I need to check my settings. Yes, mine has the accu-trigger. I just got a a new Nikon buckmaster scope but have not sighted it in yet. Waiting for the time and for it to cool off a little..lol

That's okay, but it begs the question: Why did you take off the front sight??

I thought I had bought the OD green from the guy when I had put the rear on already. It turns out I didn't....lol He didn't have one. I bought the OD stuff from a guy at work and it was just thrown on in short time and the rear was the first thing on. It's coming off though.

Ah. I use the PT1 L on my Airsoft and 15/22, mainly to save weight. Don't need a "real" light on any of those.

Interestingly the Vikings mount is no lighter than the DANIEL DEFENCE offset or the Surefire original QD mount. I found the lightest mount I had was a set of Weaver mount 30 mm scope rings.

As for the lack of front sight, real red dots from guys like Aimpoint or Trijicon will likely never die. remove the rear to save weight. Anything that'll kill a real red dot will kill the 15/22 first.

Just got the barrel threaded so of course I had to take her out to play.

Added a Magpul grip and forgrip, not pictured but I also have a gen2 AFG and sweet .22 scope and a cheapie red-dot that doesn't do too bad.

All thats left is to add folding sights (not sure if going with magpul buis, or ARMS #71) Magpul CTR stock and Vortex Strikefire red dot.

Been slowly but surely adding to it

(Picture is not showing up, odd)

It has taken me about a week to go through this entire thread, but it has definitely given me some great ideas. I picked up my 15-22 MOE about a month ago and I'm slowly adding to it. So far, I've hung XTM rail covers, an RVG, an RSA, and an EO-Tech XPS clone on it. I didn't have much hope for the sight when I ordered it, but I've been surprisingly happy with it so far. I'm thinking about adding a magnifier, but I'm unsure.

I just ordered an MS3. I'd like to add a suppressor in the future, but I don't feel like jumping through that hoop just yet.

^might want to move your red dot back off the handguard. when you brace the foregrip, it can tilt the guard and thus your aim.

yup, mount the clone on the receiver as it will shift POI if the rail slips any or wiggles. You should take the can plunge now before prices and wait times go up if the election goes the wrong way. a Gemtech Trek 5.56 works great on the .22 and any other threaded AR, double duty, runs about $500 plus the $200 donation to the NFA. or you could go for a take apart dedicated .22 can for around $275. Wait times are down now to about 4 months due to them hiring some strictly background investigators (bout time) so that the 9 ATF examiners for the whole country has some help. I have another in the line which i think will be here early December. go the Trust route with Quicken Willmaker premium plus trust maker, about $20 on Amazon. Have found that it is still first come, first served when it comes to the order you paperwork goes in the NFA line, but the trust is faster go get approved due to no background, prints, photo's, CLEO sig, etc. JMHO

Get a bigger monitor.

You can also hit ctrl and the - button to zoom the whole page out.

It is kind of annoying I guess. People can change the way their pics appear in the user CP.

I have a Dell 22'' monitor and when I zoom out the print is almost unreadable for a blind old fart like me.....Aren't monoters supposed to fix these things?

I'm on there too (xdtalkcom) I have membership to Bulls eye. After my experiences with GG I refuse to shop there.

true. if im buying, its usually online or at shooters just for their prices. i like bullseye, its just a few more lights/traffic so i picked gg. we'll have to all meet up sometime wherever to shoot.

I'm a member of Bulls eye, FOP and Gun Gallery here in Jax...If anyone wants to set up a 15-22 shoot outside or meet up at any of the indoor ranges, let me know. Would make for a fun day. I just need a few days heads up to clear my schedule.

Pic thread...

jon i definitely need to set up a whole day of range time with you so i can play with some of your toys. ammo my treat or something like that.

and i definitely think it would be cool to get a group together locally, just to hang and try different guns. wonder if bullseye would let us reserve 1 of the smaller ranges?

I shoot at Gun Gallery every now and then. I'd love to get a group together. Bullseye would probably be best since it's larger.

Absolutely love this thread, great for killing time and money while overseas. Will make my contribution before Xmas when I get home and open all the boxes my wife has been piling up for me in the garage.

It's taken me 2 years of configuration changes to arrive at this:

VLTOR Modstock, Daniel Defense front and rear sights (DD sight replaced S&W sight after 2nd pic was taken), Bravo Company Mod 0 Gunfighter grip and depending on my mood, Aimpoint T-1 Micro in LRP mount.

Best gun purchase I have ever made.
