Seems to me shooting certainly demands fine motor skills and sensitivity to pressure and because of that I wouldn't shoot with a glove. Never mind me. I'll go back to my cave.

ever accidently grab hold of a can or barrel that you just ran a full mag through? you'll know why gloves are worn. especially by the military, grab your M4 wherever you can sometimes and a hot barrel will put a hurtin on your hand really quick! i usually run Mechanix gloves with pistols and camo Nomex when using rifles and hunting.

Yes, but I don't try to shoot close to full auto. However I see the point for those that do... especially on an AR. And since the 15-22 is a trainer for the AR, what you do for the AR you need to do for the 15-22.
Thanks.

After 100 rather fast rounds - in three or four minutes - my 15-22s barrel is too hot to hold on to.

I came across a pic awhile back of someones gun on here. He painted it a fossil color. Anyone know who has it.

A lot of awesome looking rifles!
I picked mine up at the beginning of August. It's not anywhere close to being done. Essentially I'm trying to make a mk18 clone

Got the fde charging handle and the Walther PS22 red dot thanks to the wife for my birthday. Now I gotta figure out how to transfer the latch handle over to the new handle.

Sweet, got it. The pin was a pain getting in. I guess the paint got down in the hole during the process.

Cheek piece on the stock looked perfect for a left-hand presentation - couldn't tell from one pic if it's symmetrical to both sides or not.

If you flip your cantilever mount around, you will be able to use either the red dot or the MBUS. I prefer having my red dot mounted further forward, but it's your rifle and your call.

I haven't colored my logo yet. Before it was painted, I used a red crayon.

Had mine for almost a year now
Aimpoint Pro
Magpul vertical grip, ladder covers, and front BUIS
CAA pistol grip
military rear iron and crane stock i snagged from the arms room\
forgot the 15-22 BAD lever from NDZ performance
I painted the stock myself, originally wanted to do an OD rifle, but i liked the tan parts better, and the green just stayed
The only thing I really want to do now is add a barrel shroud

I love it. Big hands, so with the biggest palm swell it puts my trigger finger in the perfect spot, and I'm a fan of finger grooves

Mine. Cheap ladder covers, a cheap reflex and a set of old MBUS so that the day at the range isn't wasted if the cheap reflex goes bye bye. Nothing too fancy, but it works for me.

Thats how we all start
I started with a $30.00 optic. Now got a genuine EOtech.
Lesson: You can't beat the real thing.
But the rifle looks nice and clean!

Just added a Tacticool .22 modified barrel nut. So I could use the Troy 15" rail. It has a JP comp, complete JP trigger group, Tacticool charging handle, and a EOTech. I use it for steel matches. Great little gun, even better with the new rail.

Decided to get my inner child fired up about some Crayola action this weekend:
Color in the pix is slightly re-shifted due to it being sunset when they were shot. Came out very clean and sharp-edged - - and if I decide to change colors later a toothpick gets it right out.
Only changes thus far are a pair of ARMS flip-ups and an inexpensive open sight, some snap-on rail covers, and I deburred and smoothed the bolt carrier rails.
Not done, in fact barely started. Gonna be a long, complex relationship. Hopefully with minimum drama.

I'm sure it'll be fine, so long as I can avoid mistakes like the time I was talking on the phone with a car buddy and I referred to my project car as "my 21-year old Japanese girlfriend" within earshot of the wife.
Yeah, that took some explaining.
