new here....well new to posting anyway. i just got my 15-22 last friday (aug 6th), shot it once (my local range isnt the greatest, its like an oven inside), came home and ordered the "must haves". everything i ordered showed up today so i figured id post up my creation (which isnt that much different than a few others on here). word of warning, im horrible at taking photos of long guns and even worse at indoor photography.
My 6 day old 15-22
And one with her big brother

Here is mine, only had it for a few weeks. Had a DTX first with multiple OOB's on first range session. Dealer exchanged for this DUR. Performs flawlessly with any ammo.
ProMag VTG
ProMag Recoil Pad
Dorcy Light with weaver mount(had laying around)
Tasco Silver Antler 3x9x40(had laying around)
4 mags(only 2 in pic)
Preparing to Order
Houge Grip
JP Springs
Rail Covers
Single/Two Point Sling
UTG Homeland Security Case
Maybe a PA red dot or BSA holo later, but I will use the scope for now.

Here is my DUU serial model with a threaded barrel. As far as I know, my rifle is done,( havent we all said this,, yet some time later.. lol) except my Harris bipod and sling have not arrived yet. And I was sent the wrong Green laser( the new one is on its way with external windage and elevation knobs) I am not 100% sure about this but I think Im the first person to upload pictures of the rifle with the S&W logo colored in on the magazines( I could be wrong). As well as the magazines with a covering on them.( regular bicycle inner tube) Since I never used the button for loading any way, why leave the slot open for dirt to get into it? Also no the load assist button doesnt touch or snag the covering, it clears and fires perfectly fine. But to me at least, the colored in magazine S&W logo and the covered mags gives an extra lil visual enhancement to the rifles overall look.
I like a rubber grip, yet the Hogue or Ergo brand to me is ever so slightly to thick. If you look closely you can see that it is nothing more than a inner tube turned inside out and strecthed over the grip( A real @#$#&^$ on the fingers lemme' tell ya lol) But it forms perfectly to the factory grip. My stock is the factory one, just many coats of the Krylon camouflage ultra flat sporting gear paint applied to it. Its VERY durable, and it dried pretty close to the Magpul Dark earth colors.

I have to say you all are a BAD INFLUENCE... that's from my wife.

EDIT: Man this sucks. the more I look at your pictures, and then scroll up a few posts to my rifles pictures,, the MORE I want one of those AFG grips now. lol See now YOU are the bad influence lol. <---------- Heads off to lurk on eBay lol

The AFG for me at least is legit. I run mine about a little more thean half way up the rail.
Yes having low cap mags is a pain. So is no collapsible buttstocks.

Pretty much done. I just want to add a MI QR sling swivel to the left side of the gun for carry while the one on the bottom is used for shooting.

I deleted a string of postings here related to safety issues. This is a pic thread . Brief questions/comments about the rifle or accessories in a pic are fine... but lets keep the focus on pics.

To me it just complets the overall look of the rifle to have the mag's S&W logo to be seen/stand out that way. Thats a nice looking set up you got there.

What kind of compensator do you have on the rifle, and did it work with the stock threads or did you have to re-thread it.

Since we can't ever leave well enough alone, here is my 1st Gen and my brother's painted MOE. His is wearing my Vortex Strikefire until his Strikefire (and my killflash) get here. Both are also wearing Beltfed's extended charging handle latch's. Why change out one when you can change out two?
He still has to get an AFG for his, but I don't think he'll take the Dremel to his.

I'm pretty sure I'm done this time. I got some .5" risers for the red dot, and have it back up front where I like it, and it is lined up right with the iron sights. The guy at the store told me they were from a Bushmaster rifle. The risers are far enough forward I can take off the red dot and put my scope on with the 1" utg riser.
Surefire G2 held on with 1 inch Weaver rings
CenterPoint laser sight
UTG 5-position foregrip
Tasco RedDot
.5 inch risers (2)
Bushnell 4x Scope with 1 inch Weaver rings
UTG 1" See-through riser

Sweet looking gun. I love your rail covers! Interesting that all the lettering on your lower receiver is white. That looks cool. It came like that? I bought mine last month (I live in CA) and the lettering on my receiver isn't white (just engraved into the polymer).

Nope he did what nearly everyone else has been doing for years now on the lettering on their weapons.. Used a CRAYON, and rubbed it over the lettering.. and then rubbed off what was left over with a rag with some cleaner on it. The crayon stays in the lettering, and looks like its factory. My 15 22 is white and bright orange, just to be different as it seems everyone uses red and white colored crayons. For example here is my rifle. The first 3 pics show the lettering fairly well.

Aha! So that's the trick. Cool! Thanks for the info. I definitely need to do that "crayola" trick to my rifle then. That just makes it look so much better!
Well, I might as well "chime in" with a pic of my rifle as it looks currently:
I'm going to replace the current rail covers I have on there (they are just cheap airsoft rail covers) with some Falcon Low Profile Rail Covers that I have currently on backorder from Botach.

You might be waiting a while for those. Just make sure they don't charge you until they ship.
Without going too far... Botach has great prices, but it seems their customer service and business practices have burned people in just about every corner of the shooting community.
I should go digging for some crayons. I haven't added or changed anything with my rifle in over a month!

My 15-22p - Swapped out the factory sights for a Midwest Industries flip-up rear and Magpul front. Added a LaserMax red to the underside.
I love this gun. Just under 1000 rounds through it with only 1 failure to eject and that was a Remington Golden Bullet. All CCI flavors that I used performed flawlessly.

Thanks! I love this gun. Just got back from another range trip. Put 470+ rounds through it. Used the Remington Golden Bullet (which I've heard is not on the recommended list of ammo). Only had 3 hiccups... FTE's. No big deal. Can't wait to shoot it some more.

CTR Stock
CTR Grip
Polished internals
Magpul AFG
Magpul MS2 sling
PA Aimpoint (clone)
Tacticrayola
Streamlight TLR-3 (awesome light)
Tac Innovations Tac65 (Hell Yeah)!!!
Sorry in advance for my ****** photo taking skills, I'll try to get some better outdoor shots in a couple days.

SWEET looking rifle, scuds! That black lettering looks great on your painted rifle. I'm jealous I really like how your black rail covers give your rifle a nice striped contrast in front.
Very cool!

Yep. 1/4" cheek riser. It will interfere with the operation of the charging handle if the stock is fully collapsed. I addressed the problem by putting a sling attachment mount at a fixed position on the buffer tube so that the cheek riser can never get close enough to cause a problem.

M&P 15-22 Picture Thread
Just got my M&P 15-22 back from the painters. Complete DuraCote paint scheme. I never would try this on my own, but Mark at GOE Gunworks is a master. I am stoked.
Smith & Wesson, M&P 15-22 with 4 mags, green laser, dot scope, tactical scope, flashlight, bipod and vertical grip. This is a slightly modified version of Rhodesian Pattern.

Just swapped my red/green dot for a 3-9x32. Sits on the QD cantilever riser so I can pop it off and utilize the MBUS.
