Ejector Problems?
All the bad press the M&P ejector is getting is making me paranoid. Anybody have any idea what percent of this new .22 are having these problems? I purchased a new one about a month ago but have not gotten to the range yet.

Just picked mine up at a local gun show for $439.95 + tax. I also picked up three factory mags for $25.00 each. Brought it home, gave it a cursory cleaning and shot 50 rounds of CCI mini-mag and 30 rounds of federal bulk pack. NO ISSUES!!
I too read about the "issues". I know I have not even yet begun to really shoot it, but I am pleased. Fed all, shot all, and ejected all so far.
Thanks,

I have had mine to the range three times now. Just this morning I put 100 rounds through it with zero issues. It went bang every time I pulled the trigger and ejected every spent case properly. I have about 300 rounds through the 15-22 at this point.
Accuracy off sand bags at 50 feet today was from .5" to .75" with a couple flyers for 5 and 10 round strings. This is with iron sights and a 1X red dot M3.

I went thru over 400 rounds with out a hitch the first weekend.
27 the next. The extractor spontaneously ejected itself from the rifle.
Accuracy? I'm more than happy! 90% in the black at 50 yards. Standing. Non supported. Rapid fire as fas as I could change 4 magazines. 4 MOA (or 5?) red dot sight. Taliban in the wire!
She's at S&W right now for repairs.

i've got 2000 rounds through mine. I get a nose up jam out of almost every mag, I have 3, and I've tried my buddy's 3 as well. After the holiday's I think it's going to go to S&W.

Almost 2000 rounds thru it. No major problems. A few minor, but no more than my 10/22. Not a single stovepipe. Loads, ejects, fires flawlessly, when not useing GB, you know which one that is. Make sure you load the mags correctly, always push down on the round your loading. Use the helper on the follower just to make it easier, do not let the bullets become slack. Federal bulk functions perfect, performs, well, ok. There are quite a few fliers, by a couple inches is all. The higher priced, higher velocity seem to work the best.

if i make sure all the ammo is slanted up like it should be i usually dont have a problem. i mainly use CCI ammo but every once in a while ill have a shell that wont eject 2 or 3 out of 300 isnt a big deal

2600 rounds with no issues.
Remember, what you see posted on the internet is a small percentage of the actual rifles sold. I'm sure there are others who don't post about issues that they have, but generally speaking, people only post questions about their firearm when they are having problems, not when things are going well. This tends to paint a picture that's worse than it really is. Yes there are some problems with ejectors, and extractors. Most that I've seen have resulted from an out of battery discharge. In every case, S&W has made them good. So as far as I'm concerned, if you want one, get it, use good ammo, and have fun.

Thanks much:
Thanks a bunch guys for the quick response, you've put my mind at ease. Now all I have to do is get out and run a box of federals through the little gem. Thanks again.

Shot mine for the first time the other day. Fired off 5 rounds w/ no problem. I finally got some free time to get propped up today and try to sight in my red dot. 8 shots and jam. The empty case didn't even make it out. Next 5 shots the same thing. So, I remove all but 2. Fire and jam. Empty round didn't make it out. If I chamber one at the time w/ the mag out it will eject maybe 3 out of 5. Sometimes it will throw the casing out 5 feet, other times it barely falls out or doesn't make it out at all. Guess it will be making a trip back for repairs. I have ordered 2 extra mags already but maybe they will send me a couple more.

Unless your extractor is missing, you can fix your problem in less than a minute if you click on the link in my post.
