Just wanted to let everyone know that 15-22-maniac's suggestion worked! I got the 25rd kit from 44mag.com (fast shipping!) and bought the 10rd plugs from ebay MP15-22 10 Round Mag Restrictor, M&P15-22 S&W, USA Made - eBay (item 250560119431 end time Jan-14-10 18:31:20 PST), slapped them together and bingo, a fully working 10rd clip and isn't a pain to load. Total cost per clip? About $27. Not too shabby. Thanks 15-22-maniac.

That's good to hear.

Have you thought about selling that video to the CIA for use in torture interrogations?

I called Smith & Wesson Customer Service yesterday to try and find out what's going on with these so called 10 round short magazines. I wanted to know if there was actually going to be one? The fellow I talked with didn't have a clue! He was unable to answer any of my questions. I was very disappointed.

Hopefully Blackdog will come through with something good. Time will tell.

Forcing our enemies to load those clips is BEYOND cruel and unusual. They'd start begging for waterboarding.

This is my first post here. I was wondering if any of you have had this happen.

I got my 15-22 a month or so ago. Went to the range and fired 300 rounds. Had one of the rounds standing up , like was previously mentioned. Other than that, no FTF, or FTE.
So today I went to the range. On about the 100th round or so, through my ear protection, I heard something different, and some smoke where there usually wasn't any. It was jammed, and upon opening it, the shell was stuck in the barrel, and was slightly mushroomed. It required being pried out, but came out fairly easily. Can you attribute this to the ammunition? Winchester 36 grain, hollow point.

Repost this as a new thread as “possible OBD” and delete this one. I guess that the right thing to do. Or PM ChattanoogaPhil the moderator to have it moved. No one likes double posts but this one is important. You tacked it on to a year old thread. Did you buy this gun new or used? Search Out of Battery Discharges and you will find a ton of info.
