Where were you going to attach your single point?
The Mrs. slipped a Viking VTAC sling into one of my Christmas presents. As I prefer a two point sling, this was just what I wanted for my 15-22.

i was thinking of the one with the quick release from the sling to the rifle. the ones that can just wrap around or through the stock with whatever harness. i just don't want it to be to stressful and crack/break the lower/stock.

Have you ever operationally used a single point sling? They're horrible if you need to move. You have to hold onto the rifle or it flops everywhere.
A two point sling can be tightened so it's not flopping around when you have to move and most have a quick adjust for body armor and heavy jackets.
The front needs a sling mount on the rail. I've used both swivels and fixed. I favor fixed.
Standard M4:
M&P 15 quick fix:
The rear is just threaded thru the stock.

Chuck . . .
Did you re-position the sling swivel on the 15-22 stock?
And if so, how?
thanks,

The rear swivel (which doesn't swivel, of course!) can be turned 90° and reattached. Takes a little filing on one edge for it to work. Three minutes.
No longer on the rifle at all as it's pretty useless on the side like that, the rifle wants to take a strange twist on me.

Front swivel attachment
What device did you put on the front end as a swivel attachment? The one I bought doesn't work. Think it is for an AR barrel. Thanks.

Something like this will probably work. Check to make sure it fits paraclips.
