Default FTE youtube video.

Has anyone seen and or used this video to fix your gun? If so did it fix the FTE problem? Just curious because if it is this easy to fix I won't send mine in.

I have used this video asa guide. I bent my ejector till it almost touches the bolt its like a hair gap. I looked at a new model 15-22 in the store and thats how the ejector was in it so i made mine like it but I havnt shot it yet I got 500 rounds of ammo to test it with though

NOBAMA, If I were you ( and I was a few weeks ago ) I would at least consider sending your rifle back. I'm not sure what all they do besides move your ejector. But, If they are updating anything else it would be worth your wait. When I got mine back, It appeared like it had a different ejector. It looks darker and thicker. Also ( can't confirm this ) the feed ramp looks different to me. Maybe it was polished. If your worried about being w/ out your rifle, Mine was returned exactly 7 days after Fed EX picked it up. Came back w/ 2 free mags
By the way, I like your name and feel the same way.

I am the one who made that video.

I have put over 1000 rounds through my gun since I made that fix without any FTE's. In talking with others who have sent their gun back to S&W it appears that is all they are doing is bending the ejector outward and sending it back to the customer. The one benefit you get from sending the gun in is you will get a couple of magazines. I didn't want to be without my gun so I chose to fix it myself.

The other problem with this gun is the occasional FTF. Most of these can be resolved by just loading the magazine correctly. However I have a fix I copied from another member here for the magazine and haven't had a single FTF since and that was over 400 rounds ago. I am going to post pics of that later.

As I said, I got this fix from another member on this forum and it has worked for me thus far. The fix I am using is just the tape method. I put a small piece of duct tape around the back of the mag. I didn't realize there is another thread on this already just a couple down from this one. Apparently that fix isn't working for everyone. I have shot over 400 rounds with the tape there without a single ftf, I will have to see if this is a long term fix.

Thanks for making and posting the ejector fix video. I thought the ejector was bent inward (toward the center of the bore) instead of outward
