15-22 now with Suppressors
I just picked up my new 15-22 at Wholesale Sporting Goods. I has a flash suppressor installed from the factory. Cool I thought I would need to get on for it. I wonder if S&W is changing things up and shipping the guns with suppressors and fixing the OOB problem? I havent even had a chance to shoot it yet cause it was dark by the time I got it home

smith came out with the suppressor version a few weeks ago, they wtill have the un-threaded style too. Some with the factory threaded models have still had the problems so be careful.

Our local store has the suppressed for $435, and non for $432. They said that they will keep that price for all that they have now, and the price will not go up on the next shipment, even though S&W has raised prices.

To continue the hijack - I'm thinking the $429 I paid two weeks ago for a threaded version that was in a new shipment of 10 to the store was an okay price? Serial DTUxxxx and no problems so far.

My serial # started with DTX****, just got back from shooting it, only stopped because it started to rain/snow. Ran 150 CCI without even a hiccup, had some Remington golden bullets, tried 75 rounds with 2 FTF. I know they are on S&W's "not recommended to use " list, I just wanted to see how they'd work, I just need more clips!

You're right about the Rems, I just had a handful and thought I'd see how they worked. Around here they seem to be real popular, Wallyworld sells pallets of them. I've got a couple bricks of American Eagle I'll try on my next outing, they've work good in everything I have so far. I used the CCI's for the first stuff I put through it just because of their quality, never had a problem with them. Thanks.

I believe, could be wrong , but the suppressed ones are made for the States that don't have "bans" on that type of feature. The non-suppressed ones are being made for NY, NJ, Ca, Mass and maybe one or two others(Hawaii????). In addition, collapsible stocks are legal in the vast majority of States, pinned stocks for the aforementioned States. Neither affects the function of the 15-22, just drives liberals crazy.
My friend has an AR without a suppressor or collapsible stock, and believe me on this one, the firearm is as accurate and deadly as those with the "evil features" despised by liberals.

Rockinhunter, I'm glad to hear you like your DTX****. I just picked mine up today with the same series s/n. I have been reading this forum for a couple weeks, and you are the first one I have seen with that series s/n. I was really hoping to have the new model with the suppressor, but mine doesn't have it. I hope to go out tomorrow morning to do a bunch of shooting.

Thanks, I wanted to shoot it more yesterday, but it started to rain/snow and I was at an outdoor range. The only thing I've put on it is a grip pod, which worked great off the bench I was shooting from. Great little rifle, and very accurate!
