I'd love to help you, but mine is a DTXxxxx. Haven't been able to shoot it yet; hopefully tomorrow.

Woah, answering your own questions. Nothing else to do in Texas?
As far as SN DSX**** looks like you are the only one, maybe why it is so good.

Mine is also a DSX**** serial made in July 2009 per S&W. I have not had any mechanical problems. My gun does not like Winchester Wildcats.

I also have a DSX. Purchased early Sept. It's going back to the factory. I'm having the feeding problem (round stands upright, smashed by bolt). It has also started to fire two round bursts at times. It does not like Wildcat ammo, either. By far, the best ammo for the money I have found is the Blazer. I have about 2000 rounds through this gun at present.

Mine's a DSZ, purchased in mid Aug 2009. Great so far, some failures early on in the first few hundred rounds, but now running smooth!

Hi Snappy,
Mine is a DSX1XXX serial #, bought in Sept 09. I have had zero problems with Federal ammo, but only have 2000 rds through it.
I've set this gun up exactly like my "primary" AR, and use it as a trainer. I love it! When I found this board a few weeks ago and started reading about all the problems, I was a bit discouraged, but I figure as long as my gun is running smoothly, I'll just read and learn what to be ready for.

Mine is a DSX. Bought it used. Ran great when I first got it, but now I am starting to get random FTE problems. I did the bend the ejector fix, we'll see how it runs next trip to the range. Just found out through this forum I have one gen 1 mag and one gen 2 mag. Wondering if that might be part of my problem. Have to keep note of which mag I am using when I get a FTE next trip to the range. Seems to like Mini Mags, M22, Golden Bullets, Federal 550 and Auto Match.
