Sorry Let me Explain
Hello All; let me give you the whole story. Ibought my 15-22 one week ago, its been to cold here in pgh. pa to shoot until yesterday. I had many fte problems, actually i could not shoot more than two rounds in a row.I took my rifle back to gander that same day and the gunsmith told me to try different ammo. I bought some cci minimags and some federal value pack.I read on this forum about tweaking the ejector and i also did that. We had a huge snowstorm here and its douthful that i will be going anywhere today,so i was just wondering if the ammo change and the ejector tweaking works. thanks pghrich. The ammo i tried yesterday was mostly remington golden and remington thunderbolts, and some windchesters.

i wouldnt push a remington golden out of a straw.... there is a recommended ammo thread around here somewhere that should help ya out. im sure the CCI were on there. i do not own one of these rifles but honestly, i would never trust remington or winchester rimfire ammo.

Last trip to the range I had NUMEROUS FTFs using Remington 22LR ammo with a S&W 41 and a Ruger MKIII. OTOH, my 10/22 fired all but 1 and it had a solid hit on the rim (as did the S&W and Ruger failures, BTW).
I don't know about Winchester 22 ammo, but no more Remington for me.
P.S. This should be part of your previous thread since it's on the same subject. Not being critical, just FYI in the future.

22's, especially conversions, can be very finicky. There is variation in bullet size and the cheap bulk rounds tend to cause problems.
You could try Paco Kelly's Accurizer. Part of what it does it to make the bullet diameter more uniform. However, CCI Mini-mags are very, very good. I suspect they will solve any ammunition related problems.

I've pushed 400 rounds through my 15-22 and all were CCI Mini Mags I know that's nowhere near what some around here shoot but that's my story. I also pay attention to my loading, tap the mag on my palm to seat all the bullets and clean and oil after each session. No problems so far.

The answer is yes, it works.
I have been using Fed Val Pack 550 from Walmart. It is the cheapest and cycles as well or better than anything else. That makes it the best ammo in my book.

If you do a search on Remington, I'm sure you'll find the thread on their .22 ammo. I had a brick of Thunderbolts and I'll never buy their .22s again. FTFes, FTEs, FTFis all over the place with 3 different .22s - 2 rifles and a pistol. CCI's and Federal should make a lot of difference, but there've been alot of trouble with the 15-22 as I'm sure you've seen on this forum.

We have enough feeding problems with the M&P 15-22. Paco Kelly's Accurizer will make it worse trying to feed semi-wadcutters!
