Thanks guys.
I dabble in Duracoat...I Duracoated the mags in Magpul's Flat Dark Earth...along with the pistol grip, it was black and I couldn't find a FDE one at the time, so I sprayed it as well.
I use a Paasch airbrush and my shop compressor. I order the Duracoat from Lauerweaponry.com...they have lots of colors and the stuff is pretty durable.
Oh, and the ladder covers are just covers for grip/looks and to cover the rails. They came with my UTG quadrail that I put on my 10/22.

Looks great! A few quick questions...
1. How far into the hand guard does that go?
2. Is it a solid piece, front to back? I'm assuming so...
3. How much does it weigh?
4. How's the balance of the gun with it on?
Just curious as it's a bit beefier than most of the custom shrouds we see. I really like the look of that though.

they weigh about 8 oz.. and i personaly like the way it feels it makes the rifle stay inplace when you r aiming free hand instead of floating... and yes they are made from billet t6...(1 piece) and it doesnt go into the hand guard it just seat up against it.. if i missed any questions please feel free to ask... and phil i have notbut ill take a gander right now

Basically looks.
It makes your 16" rifle look like it is an 11.5" with a suppressor on it. But it doesn't really do anything.

It can also change the harmonic vibrations of the barrel and have an effect upon accuracy. Whether this effect is good or bad depends upon both the individual barrel and the individual shroud. Experimentation is the only way to find out.
Mostly, they are for looks.

Looks great!! I wasnt a fan of the covered barrel shroud. I likedntheblook of a extended lenght 'suppresor' but i really like this look now.... is this shroud for threaded.or non?

That one was for a threaded barrel. Sadly, I sold it this morning to a fellow member.
I am switching things up a lil.
