Have been going to the range with my son, but have discovered I want to go more often so I finally joined the San Angelo Gun Club. Now just waiting for the key card.

I ordered a brass catcher. Cleaning up brass reminds me of my 21 years serving in the Air Force Security Police.

Still pretty new to the whole red dot craze so I ordered the Sig Sauer Romeo MSR and Juliet three times magnifier in FDE.

Told you, I want to have fun with this rifle. Can't wait to get the optics and try them out. Have a Vortex Stikefire 2 on my AR-15 (5.56) and really enjoy it.

Please let me know if there are any other upgrades, mods I should look at.

Thanks, Rob

Too much fun. I recommend a Black Dog 50 round drum magazine and a good .22 suppressor. That’ll put a smile on your face!

Get a bunch of magazines and enjoy! I think I have around 25 or so at this point. Load them up at home before you go. Remember you have to load these magazines one round at a time while pulling down on the buttons. Then release and repeat. If you try to just cram them in you'll get failures to feed galore.

There are magazine loaders available. I have one, but honestly it's not any faster than loading them by hand.

If your San Angelo club has a rimfire steel range like we do in Midland, there's nothing much more fun than setting up and knocking down those steel critters.

I highly recommend the McFadden magazine loader. Price is not bad and the rounds are loaded correctly, no rim lock problems. You can load magazines almost as fast at the 15-22 will unload them.
