What is the turn around time?
I dropped my rifle off at a Fedex place yesterday. I was just wondering when I could expect it back? I took it to a place that just sells packaging stuff and the Fedex comes by there and picks up packages. I didn't get a receipt or anything though. I don't know what they could have given me since it was already payed for. Should I go back by there and make sure it got sent? It's a woman that runs the place and I told her there was a rifle in the box so I wouldn't think she'd steal it or anything!

Do you have a tracking number? That would provide proof/confirmation that FedEx had the package.

There's a tracking number on the paperwork you got from S&W. That's the only "receipt" you get.

I shipped mine last Friday and it is scheduled to arrive at S&W tomorrow. I asked for a receipt and the FEDEX agent scanned the prepaid shipping label and printed out a receipt for me.

Well see Fedex just comes by and picks up the packages in the afternoon at this place I dropped it off at, so I never saw the Fedex person.? I'll have to call that woman tomorrow. Dangit, I'm kind of worried now. I wonder if I call Smith and Wesson tomorrow if they could tell me what that tracking number was?

Go back and get your recipt. Thats your proof you shipped it, proof the weapon wasn't in your possesion for that amount of time, ect. Smith should have a record of that.
As far as turn around time goes, I dropped mine off late on the 19th of March, a friday, and got it back on the 31st. Pretty good turn around time, I'd say. However, there were no "freebies" in my box like others have recieved.

Print out the label you received from S&W and take it to the place where you mailed the package. They should be able to scan the bar-code and give you the tracking number. The number printed on the label is a reference number not the tracking number.

I just called Smith and Wesson and talked to a guy and he looked up my name and stuff and it was shipped out from the location I dropped it off at. He said it is scheduled for delivery to them today, so that's not bad since I dropped it off day before yesterday. Maybe I'll get it back some time next week or the first of the week after that.

Fed Ex ground from AZ to MA is killer
But they got it this past monday and it shipped out on Thursday
So 3-4 days after they recieve the gun.
Its not due back to me until Arpil 19th ARRGGHHH!!!!
At least shes homeward bound

Mine took about 3 weeks. 5 days to MA, few days to repair, and 5 days back to CA. Also, received a new version mag. I received 3 free mags so far. I wonder why "papaspanky" didn't get one. I didn't even have to ask this time.

Were these all sent back for extractor problems or case head blowout?? I have called smith and got :: ALL IS WELL / BE CALM ???? Sort of like I am from the gov and here to help you!!!

I just called them a few days later and they'll ask for your serial number
I called 4 days later and they said it ships back today
Then I got a tracking number off of them

Yeah I called a little while ago to see when I should be expecting mine back. I didn't have the serial number, I just gave him my name and zip code. I sent it out last Tuesday, it got there that Thursday and it was sent back out today and I'm supposed to get it Friday Now if I could just get my Kimber .22 conversion back for my 1911 (the firing pin broke), I'll be in business!!!
