Default Winchester 333 ammo ?

Was wondering if anyone has used this ammo in their 15-22?
I am kind of leery about Win ammo as it seems real dirty(when fired) an not too many of my other RF seem to "like" it.
It is on sale at WW for $8

They worked OK in both my 15-22 and 22A, especially considering they were brand new. Out of the box of 333, I had maybe 20 problem rounds. Mostly fail to load.

I would try them again (especially at that price! The box I bought was $10.50, and I thought THAT was a deal!)

Mine hates it. In particular I get more mag snags from this than any other ammo I've tried.

3 mag snags out of 333 rounds. Other than that they were good to go.

Mine will shoot any .22LR ammo I can feed it. I say give it a try.

Obviously mixed results, which is good for some, bad for others I've ran about 2000 rounds of Fed Bulk thru mine which works well (few mag snags). I then decided to try a box of Win 333's and had, probably, 15 or so Fail to Ejects. So, me in particular, probably won't try them again.

Definitely try them, find one that works best, and stick with it until you find something else to try

I've run Win 333 thru my 15-22 with no problems. Overall for all of my semi's I like Federal Bulk. And no Remington Golden.

For $8 a box, I'd be all over those 333s. RGB 550s are running $15.97 and Federal 550 $18.97. $8 would be a steal.

I'm going to grab a box an see. Even if they do not work out, I will have some .22 shells stashed for an emergency.

At least 1000 rounds of Winchester 36gr HP thru mine without a hiccup. Accurate and reliable in the 333 bulk packaging. 2000 more rounds in this case and I'll buy another when it's back on the market.

CCI, on the other hand has failures to feed.

Check your extractor for dirt and crud if you're having failures to eject. The case comes out of the chamber as the case blows the bolt back but unless the extractor holds it to the bolt face it won't strike the ejector.

The ejector "fix" is nearly common knowledge but check that too. No doubt a "stickie" at the top of the board.

But like all .22LR self-loaders it seems individual rifles and pistols prefer one ammo over others. At 3¢/round I'm glad mine likes the bulk Winchester.
