Default Unofficial aftermarket accessories wishlist thread

I hope this thread will help out our members and aftermarket manufacturers. If you have an idea of a part that you are interested in seeing, post it here.

One thing that I like training with on my standard AR is an Ambi safety lever. Something like a Stag plug and play Ambi safety would be outstanding.

I really believe in this gun and I have a strong feeling that it is going to have a huge following. The aftermarket Manufactures WILL make good money for GOOD value accessories.

Does the 15-22 require the "commericial OR milspec" CTR stock ?

Can someone recommend an inexpensive but sturdy bi-pod that is tall enough to raise the rifle off of the deck with the magazine? I put on an extra that I had used for my CX4, and it's no where near tall enough with the magazine.

No such thing as a sturdy but inexpensive bipod. The cheapest your going to get into would be a Caldwell or Shooters Ridge, both are Harris "clones" the Caldwell's aren't as well made as the SR which are exact clones of the Harris and are all steel. You would also need a bipod to 1913 adapter. You are looking at $70/$80 for the bipod and another $20 or so for a cheap rail adapter.

I find it very hard to believe that you can't find a sturdy but inexpensive bipod for a .22 rifle. The bipod that I had around the house was $20 on Amazon and it's fine, just not tall enough. I can't imagine spending 1/4 of what I paid for the entire rifle on a bipod.

I want Trijicon to make a Fixed Power ACOG specifically for a .22LR, I want it to have the same Fibre Optic and Tritium combo illumination and I want it for $400.

You can believe what you want, but I had a $20 dollar bipod and it flew apart and it went in the garbage can. That's my real world experience.

I have an FAB t-pod, and it is tall enough. $70 or so.

Supposedly, the other type (Intrafuse) grip pods are tall enough also.

Considering they are both a forward grip and a bipod, I think the price is reasonable.

Depends on the type of shooting but I find if I am upright shooting off a bench like those used in indoor ranges, my 6-9" Bipod isn't tall enough. I wound up using my Ammo Can to give me some extra height.

I'm sure the Grip Pods are fine if you are in a laying position or seated on an outdoor bench.

I wish there was a cheap illuminated sight but with a small triangle to aim with rather than a round dot.

A charging handle extension would make things more efficient.

You know, it would be pretty damn easy for someone with a milling machine to make charging handles with a longer "handle" *coughBeltFedcough*

Picked up one of these at the gun show two weeks ago for $30 and I love it. It's a copy of the Harris but it works great.

UTG Tactical OP Bipod - Tactical/Sniper Profile Adjustable Height

yeah, those were everywhere at the gun shows. It's not a go to war item but they looked very sturdy.

If there is enough interest, I will start making aluminum charging handles. My CNC mill needs some work in these hard times. I have to have a few ordered in order to pay for the fixturing. My design/programming time will just be thrown in. Just send an email to [email protected] and I will put that "vote" in a special projects file. If there are other things you want, just send the request.

I sent you an email on regarding the things I would like to see on the vote thread.

Ambi safety lever
Magpul style BAD lever
extended charging handle

The JP spring kit is getting a good buzz around here too. If you start selling those on your site I will pick that up too.

That's why I am saying it would be nice if Trijicon would make one.

I had my hands on a $1300.00 ACOG and I had to change my shorts afterwards.. It was the red triangle!

Default End Plate sling adapter

Started a new topic here looking for a End Plate Sling Adapter and a nice fellow forum member pointed Midwest Industries out nice expenxive End Plates"MCTAR-13 Loop End Plate Sling Adapter for 4-position or 6-position CAR/M4 Stock"
but as always they don't ship to Europe, even Hong Kong ships to Holland so can anyone help me here were to look for an End Plate as we all know the normal end plates don't work on the M&P 15-22

Thanks in advance

These are just some of the few that I was brainstorming while getting antsy for my savings to build up:

Black Dog Machine Billet Aluminum 10-round Short Profile full body magazine

Black Dog Machine 10-round Short Profile full body magazine

13.2-inch quad-rail handguard that mates to 15-22 without adapter (example: Larue Tactical LT15-13.2)

15-inch quad-rail handguard that mates to 15-22 without adapter (example: Midwest Industries SS15)

Magpul MOE handguard that mates to 15-22 without adapter

YHM Front Flip Sight Tower that mounts directly to 15-22 barrel

14.5" barrel w/ Permanent YHM Phantom Flash Hider

11.5" barrel w/ Permanent XM177-clone 5.5" Flash Hider

16-inch Tactical Solutions X-Ring barrel (black, blue, silver, OD, grey, red, blue, purple, and pink)

I swear this waiting until I can get the money to get one of these is killing me!

I sent you an email as well! I am very interested in an aluminum charging handle and would love to be put on the list, a BAD lever would be very cool as well.

Thanks for your time

I wonder if BELT_FED would be up to the challenge of re working the chamber and sleeving the barrel for that. It would be great to have a .17 AR.

Isn't one of the .17 rounds just a necked down .22LR? The overall length and case size should be the same I think.

I would have to go for the 17HMR upper as well. Seems like a perfect idea to me. I can't see how it couldn't be done.

I was also thinking of a One point sling mount that bolts on to the buffer tube that has a Magpul ASAP Style also.
Would be nice

Why I ought ta!!!!!!!!! Dude, please more angle pix? Are they easy enough to make where you can start selling them in masses? Any way to cut slits into them for weight reduction, or just grooves for traction? Nice work man!

Can you take a pic with you charging it with your hand (AR style chopping charge technique) for size refrence?

try Nc star. Ive got one I use on my ar and love it. Its 6 in. with 3 in. extension, swivels a little to left&right, as well as a little up and down. It comes with the mount for a picatinny rail right on it. Also has a quick release that is rather sturdy. $35-45 depending where buy/order. Ive invested in quite a bit of their products for my 1522, from vertical grip to alum or composite rails to optics, nice stuff, good warranty too. Good luck.

Can anyone recommend to me a good folding front sight? I've seen the Magpul ones, but it seems sort of sacrilegious to have a Magpul on the front and not one on the rear. LOL.

I have a A.R.M.S #40 for my rear sight, and I'm not a big fan of the standard M&P15-22 front sight.
