Default question about the front barrel cap

Did you take yours off and why? I took mine off to see if it makes any difference accuracy wise. Other than that why else would you remove it? thanks pghrich

You remove it to gain access to the barrel nut.

other than gaining access is there any other reason to leave it off. I guess what i am asking is will it hurt anything to leave it off, thanks pghrich

The cap also supports the forearm. Without the cap, the forearm will flex/bend a fair amount.
