Aguila Match Rifle- El Bullet Mas Fina!
The muchachos down in Cuernavaca Mexico hit a homerun with this one. 200 rounds fired and all cycled with no problems. 1st pic is the first 5 rounds shot at 25 yds. Best group I've ever shot! 2nd pic is 25 rounds at 25 yds. Hats off to their manufacturing process and quality control because this stuff is very consistent. Every shot sounded and felt exactly the same, unlike Fed Bulk where I've experience noticable differences with some shots being much louder than others. Twice the cost of Fed Bulk but worth it if you are shooting for accuracy. My only complaint is a weird smell from the gunpowder, kinda like burnt pinapple, but I quickly got used to that when round after round kept smacking the center ring.
I work in manufacturing and one of my resolutions this year was to buy American made products even if they cost a little more to try and keep jobs here. That was part of the reason I initially chose the M&P 15-22. I've decided to make an exception for this product because it is superior in quality to anything else I've used and a great value at $.06 ea.

Man that is some good shooting. I thought I was happy with my target. This is the first 10 rounds out of my 15/22 with open sights ay 25 yds. I just put a scope on it this week, maybe that will help some. Haven't got it sighted in yet. Don

Thats the one Phil. Try it, you will like it along as the smell of burnt pinapple doesn't bother you. It was noticable to me but not offensive. Kinda like sniffing a Corona if you are normally a Bud man! I've bought a lot of stuff from Midway (outstanding customer service) but Cheaper than Dirt has their price beat by $6.00/box. I ordered 2k rounds from them Tues and my ammo arrived Wed.

Thanks Don. Was using a 3x9 scope and bipod. With that setup the gun/ammo is perfect and would probably shoot one ragged hole @ 25 yds all day long. Credit to the tool not the workman!

If it smells like their SSS 60gr I know it it well.
Thanks for the tip on CTD. I'm buying 1k bullets for reloading from Midway today anyway so I'll just tag it onto the order. I get birthday pricing today so it's only $64 for 500x2 and a few pennies extra shipping over what I was already paying.

Outstanding shooting. For a second I thought you shot open sights and free hand! I'll have to try some of this stuff. You should frame and hang that target! I know I would.

Thanks for the tip. I have tried the Aquila SuperExtra HV copper coated 40gr. in my 15-22 and other rimfire guns with great results. I'll try a brick of the Match Rifle and see how well that works.

Got my 1k rounds of Aguila Match Rifle. If it does not produce sub MOA groups in my 15-22.... CajunMouseSniper is banned from the Forum.

If you don't like it Phil, I'll take it off your hands! I just placed an order today for another 2k rounds. Shot 2k over the 3 day weekend with same accuracy as posted and no misfeeds. My 15-22 loves this stuff and I am starting to get used to the smell of burnt pinapple!

I had posted how well Aguila MR did in my 15-22 about 1.5 months ago along with this pic.
This is 10 shot groups at 50 yards off the top of my ammo box.
Not as good of groups but i didn't have a good benchrest than either.
Ive also found a better ammo than that. Federal AutoMatch thats been sized in D-rocks sized. Much more consistent and tighter groups.
Actually the 15-22 is far more accurate with any Match/Subsonic/SV ammo over anything that is high velocity.
But be warned you may need the J&P spring set for the bolt to cycle perfectly.

I picked up two boxes a couple days ago from Walmart. Have not seen it available for several months. What does "been sized in D-rocks sized." mean?

If you guys like the Aguila Match Rifle in your rifle, you may find that you like it in your pistols too.
Just picked up a cheap BSA 2X and put it on my 22S. Below pic is 50 yards and supported with my range bag. 50 yard pistol target shooting is fun!

I believe the smell is due to the Eley priming compound Aguila uses.
