Remington Thunderbolt vs. Remington 333
Went to the range yesterday to zero out my new sights and shooting 5 shot groupings. Little Jr. was not liking the Thunderbolts. I couldn't get through the clip. Put the 333s in and zero jams. Definitely know now what to buy. I bought the bulk pack too. Now I have to try and sell them to brother in law for his shooting pleasure.

Yeh, I got lucky and my 10/22 ate it, but I had more FTF's than any other ammo I've bought.. I got lucky though, it wasn't as bad as some others have picked up.. I had 1,000 rounds and only had 10 FTF's..

To add insult to injury....the reliability of the Remington can
be very poor in freezing weather. My experience is that 1/3
of the rounds will not fire at freezing temp's. If you have a
choice, the best hi-speed bulk ammo is the Winchester white
box pack. It has great priming reliability, less velocity variation
and more consistent dimensional quality. I know of testing
between the hi-speed ammo brands (Federal, Winchester, and
Remington) that will bear out these facts. As for accuracy, my
model 41 wil shoot 5/8" at 25 yards in a ransom rest with
Winchester 36 gr. hollow point bulk ammo. It works for me.

Straight from the 15-22 manual:
Aprroved 15-22 ammo
Aguila Super Extra High Velocity
Aguila Super Extra Std. Velocity
CCI Standard Velocity
CCI Mini-Mag
CCI Stinger
Federal American Eagle
Federal GameShock
Winchester Super-X High Velocity
Not Recommended 15-22 ammo
Remington Golden Bullet
Remington Target 22
Remington Thunderbolt
Winchester Wildcat
any and all subsonic ammo
I'm not sure what the Remington 333 is, unless you mis-typed and meant Winchester 333, but NO Remington ammo should ever be used in your 15-22 unless you wish to have nothing but problems or worse.

My experience so far:
CCI Blazer: 8% FTE
Federal 550 bulk: 16% FTE
Remington Thunderbolt: 0 FTE
Rem Thunderbolt is the only ammo so far with no FTE's after ~600 rds. It was very inconsistent, with one round too weak to re-cock the hammer, but no FTE's.

I have only shot federal 525 bulk, 36 gr. in the 15-22 and have had 0 FTE out of aprox. 4000 rds. So all I can share is my experience and my experience w/ federal bulk has been nothing but outstanding. @ the muzzle it delivers 1260 fps which is good enough for 150 yd shots.

same here. I have a CZ P01 9mm semi and Remington UMC ammo was the only ammo I tried that would have FTF in this gun. it eats up anything else
