Just ordered MP 15-22
High all,
Newbie to this forum here, I just ordered an MP 15-22 MOE ver. and cannot wait to get it.
Is there anything I need to know about this product before I go out and shoot it?
Thanks

AMEN to that!! But STAY AWAY from Remington!!!! Magpul rail covers look and function GREAT! Personaly I am new to this site/gun as well, and my 15 22 ALREADY has more outfits than I do lol. Once I get my suppressor in after next week( after I get back from a vacation/honeymoon in Vegas) ill upload pics of it. I have a Simmons 8 Point 3-9X40 scope, UAG vertical grip and magpul XTM rail covers. Both are Flat dark earth color, and painted my stock with Krylon ultra flat camoulage Khaki paint. It actually looks VERY close to the flat dark earth color, after it dries for about a week. Congrats on a Great gun! By the way, care to give us the serial model of your new gun( just the first 3 letters, and once you get it of course) As my new gun that was bought July 23 2010( manufactured June 28 2010) is the DUU threaded barrel version.

I can answer this one, and that answer is no. A standard 4 pack(8 pieces that click together) will nearly cover one side, but it leaves around 7 or 8 slots left over if the pieces are touching side by side. What I did was leave one slot open at the base of the barrel( near the tigger) and then place a set and then leave one slot space between the XTM covers and this left me with a fully covered rail except at the end and I have 4 slots left over and thats just enough for my laser.
But I like that look, as it lets me add the dark earth colored rails and also lets a little of black from the quad rails show through. Looks nice. Also ya, I understand it was just ordered thats why I said once you get it lol. But to be fair i had JUST edited it, and then refreshed and saw your latest post. If you have yahoo messenger I will photo share with you to show you what im talking about, or you can PM me with your email address and I can email you a few pics of my rifle so far. Im just gonna wait for my laser to get here as well as my suppressor before I upload pics to the picture thread.

My 15-22 consumes copious quantities of Remington without problems, so try some and see if it works in your rifle before just giving up on it. WalMart has the Rem GB bonus pack of 550 rounds for the same price as the Federal value pack. If the GB works in your rifle, it's nice to have another option. For a while there, my WalMart had zero Federal but plenty of Rem so my 15-22 was well fed.

About $8 in Ergogrips filled the slots in my handguards and didn't all appreciably to the grip diameter.
