Default Single Point Sling Mount

I've searched and found NADA, ZILCH...

Has anyone installed a Single Point Sling mount on the collapsible stock tube ala AR15?

If so, please share where to obtain ( and pics would be great )

Thanks

I don't know anyone who has done it off-hand (I'm sure some members here have done it), but I know the Magpul CTR stock incorporates a single-point swivel attachment into the body of the stock, and if I'm not mistaken, S&W redesigned the newer 15-22's with one in the lower receiver (I'm not sure if it's all of the newer ones or just the MOE models).

If you look closely (sorry I don't have a better pic of the stock on hand), you can see the mounting point towards the butt pad inside the A-frame:

Midwest Industries and several others make aluminum sling adapters that clamp on over the receiver extension tube. I drilled my receiver and installed a set of Uncle Mike's QD Sling Swivel Mounts, but some people might not be willing to take their lower receiver to the drill press (or their quad rail and AFG to the scroll saw and Dremel, for that matter.) Here's the thread for installing the swivels Adding QD Sling Swivels to my 1st Gen

Yeah, when I bought mine I bought the one with fixed sights and collapsible as I am not much fun of the MBUS or M-Pull Stock. Thanks though

Neat work. But you are right, about taking it to the drill, not so skilled with the drill bench, HOWEVER, what I saw were these kind of slide over the tube made by Command Arms to mention one and was wondering if anyone has done it. Pictures could be deceiving as to the depth of the groove
Thanks

Take the time to wallow throught the picture thread. There are plenty of pictures of people with several different mounting solutions. There are also just lots of cool configurations for inspiration.

I took a regular stud mount and put it in the area behind the hand grip on the receiver. It works just fine as this area is solid plastic.

Midwest Industries has one that will work with no modification from what I've been told.

I went with the Troy mount since it's rotation limited. I had to remove a tiny amount of polymer from the tube to get the crossbolt to clear, but it was easy and worth it for the better mount IMO. I used a small round chainsaw file.

I have the Midwest Industries on mine. It works great and is very solid. Its very easy to install, it just clamps over the receiver extension. It works out well for my left handed friend when he goes shooting with me. I think it was around $45 from a LGS. I can take better pics if you can't see it to well in these. I can see them just fine on my phone, not sure about a pc though.

KZ from Botach. It requires some paracord if you want to run a Magpul MS3 sling.

I like that one. Looks nice. I don't need one now, but next time I'll look at the KZ one. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Botach, but for $20 I would be willing to give them another try (I never learn sometimes).

I just ordered something from them as well. Sometimes you've got to test the waters again.

(Lets see if it ever arrives)

I have never had an issue with Botach. I hear a lot of flack, but no issues here. They always deliver quickly.

The issue I heard about them were mainly how free they were with other peoples intellectual property. Some delivery issues but that can happen with any company.
