Depending on which one you buy, it will add 10-12oz to your rifle and provide an unforgiving 1in eye relief. I looked thru this setup at a gun show and didn't think much of it. I have a 4x Primary Arms scope and would not trade it for a red dot + magnifier.

I have to agree with Chatt on this one. I have a PA Gen3 red dot along with a 3X magnifier, and I would not run the magnifier on anything other than my 15-22 simply due to the extremely short eye relief. I rarely use it, but then again my 15-22 is a under 100 yard plinker. For 100-1000 yards, I use my other guns with proper optic setups.

The magnifier works well and some people don't mind the short comings, but it will never be mounted on any of AR-15s or Bullpups.

So how do these cheap knock off magnafiers compare to a real quality magnifier as far as eye relieve is concerned?

I have 2 PA M3 multi recticle/5x magnifier combos, which work extremely well for my 15-22s. This combo affords consistent 1 to 1-1/2" 10 shot groups at 50 yards.

I also have the PA 3x deluxe magnifier, which sits behind an EOTech XPS2-0 on my 16" BCM BFH middy. I shoot NTCH. So, eye relief is not an issue. My buddies with Aimpoint and EOT magnifiers are all very surprised at the PA 3x mag's quality and performance.

I also have a PA 5x and M3 clone setup on my 15-22. The quality of the Mag is Superb for a non aimpoint/EOTech Mag. I agree with all the above, Eye Relief is very short. I also have a 3x behind a EOTech on my Colt AR.
Eye Relief is the only beef I have with the PA Mags.
It also adds a bit of wieght but nothing I cant handle.

Oh Yeah the 3x has adjustments to center the dot that really helps and the 5x does not.
