Look What I Picked UP For My 15-22
I picked up a used TA31F 4x32 ACOG the other day for $400. Not to bad considering that model sells for about $1100,give or take a little. Actually I will probably put it on my 6.8 but I wanted to try it out last night so I threw it on the 15-22. It shot very nice & I really like the light weight. Can't wait for my LaRue QD mount to come in!!! Man this Black Rifle Disease is killing me !!! LOL!!!

Quite the deal. I put a Compact 1.5 x 24 ACOG on my M4gery about 3 years ago and wild horses couldn't get it away from me. Invested in a CMMG/Brownell's .22 LR conversion unit recently and that lets me shoot 22s and stay with that optic. It will stay in 2" out to 50 yards and other than shooting 4" lower than the centerfire round at that range it's great for drills. With a half-sized reduced target that simulates 100 yards.
The 6.8 would be fun to try out. However I presume the reticle would be set up for 5.56. Consider posting your results with it.

Bat, you are correct. It is set up for a 5.56. Once I get the LaRue mount, I probably wil try it out on my 15T & my P415 6.8. I am curious as to how much difference will be between the two rounds at 100 yrds.. Right now I am having fun playing with it on my old trusty 15-22. Plus it's a heck of alot cheaper to shoot !!!

Brett, I looked at this scope one time & walked away from it. I had just picked up my POF 415 & didn't want to spend the money. But I went back last Thursday, looked & walked away again. Thought about it over the weekend & went & bought it Monday. It was just to good of a deal to pass up. It still scares me when I come up on a good deal. That usually doesn't happen to me..LOL!!!

topsportsman... that color on your 15 22, its not OD is it? Im pretty sure its Folliage.( or IS it OD and the flash made it "look" lighter than it really is) Id like to build one of my .223 project rifles in that color, and I wanted to be sure of the actual color, before I start ordering railcovers, grip, etc. for it.

Once you go ACOG you never go back. The glass is incredibly crisp. Must be the coatings. I recently mounted a trijicon rmr on top of mine and I am convinced it it the best combo for my 223 and with the QD larue mount you can easily get to your BUIS and switch it to different rifles.
But $400? I don't blame you for being cautious. You should have had me, umm, check it out before you bought it just to be safe. ;-)

DownRange, that is Foliage Green. I think it's a nice looking color & definitely blends in better than FDE in the NC woods. I have everything Foliage Green on my 15T also.

Ya, Im in Kentucky, and while my rifle is FDE. It blends well in the fall during the changing of the leaves ( looking forward to taking it out SOON). I REALLY wish Magpul made a snow white dress kit.. from the XTM rails all the way back to the rear MOE stock. Any way.. that Foliage color has been in the back of my mind for a while and since seeing it on your 15 22. I got to dress one of my .223's in that color. Thanks for the info.
